Starbucks — Restaurant in Ontario

I went there after a morning of shopping and I was really over heated as I am pregnant and really just needed water. Google said that they give water away for free with ice and in a grande cup. So I went up and asked, the lady at the cash was in my opinion very rude. I asked for a cup of ice water and she said, “ no you have to purchase something to get water” and I said “oh?” And she said “ya, if you’re thirsty there’s a fountain in the mall” and I was just so shocked and my friend was with me and stepped in and said she’ll buy a cake pop and it was just so awkward and I’m so thankful for my friend but ya just so rude to suggest the fountain and why would they say they give water for free and then not? Idk. Just rude how...

The long awaited arrival of Starbucks at the Cataraqui Town Centre is finally here! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will help you feel right at home during your visit. The coffee station was well stocked and anything else you may need is just a step away as the baristas were able to assist me with finding the nutmeg. It's nice that this coffee shop is slightly removed from the chaos of the food court because you can enjoy a coffee in peace. On behalf of all coffee drinkers that frequent the Cataraqui Town Centre and are tired of Tim Hortons, Thank You for opening a Starbucks for us! Can't wait to spend my afternoon reading a good book, enjoying a Pike Place with you at the Cataraqui Town Centre....

Went in on a very busy afternoon. The cashier was one of the rudest people I have had to deal with. She kept talking over my daughter and I ordering and didn't listen to us. She put all the information into the debit machine incorrectly and my daughter and I counted at least five times telling her this while she ignored me and was dancing and looking away. Finally another employee came over and fixed it because this woman was so clueless. The other employee was lovely and apologetic. If I was working in a place that busy with a cashier ignoring customers and just dancing I would be so annoyed with her not working to help the team. Just a strange experience...
