Worst customer service and food quality from a fast food restaurant I’ve ever had. We stopped by this Popeyes en route from Toronto to Montreal, just before 9:30pm. I ordered a 2pc spicy chicken combo with Cajun fries and a biscuit (note: they charged me the price of a “signature dish” instead of the big box combo which is cheaper and I didn’t notice).
After getting our order I noticed that the chicken was not the spicy one AND there was no biscuit. When I asked the employee who took our order (her name was Sana / Scana) about this and why there was no biscuit, she said their delivery for the biscuits didn’t arrive that day. I asked why they didn’t inform me before ordering that a main part of the combo wasn’t included and that they need to inform customers of this ahead of making a purchase and that they can’t simply just not give items and make the wrong order, all in a normal tone. The employee yelled at me that “what do you expect when you come half an hour before closing?!” as though somehow it was my fault that they didn’t have biscuits (which they initially advised was not there since the morning) and had the audacity to take out her mistake on a customer who wasn’t even confrontational. I advised them that this behaviour was completely unacceptable and another employee quickly jumped in and said they had strawberry biscuits which they could provide.
Nobody apologized for the rude behaviour or took ownership of their mistake in any way. I’ve never seen a restaurant employee yell at a customer, much less one who came well before closing time and did not berate them for the mistake but rather ask if they can compensate for the missing item as it’s unfair to shortchange customers like this (my toddler only wanted the biscuit, so it was an important part of my order). When you pay for something, you should receive what you paid for or be told in advance.
We’ve come by this highway stop in Brockville plenty of times during trips from Toronto to Montreal so I can advise you clearly NOT to come here - there’s plenty of other restaurants and fast food places nearby that will provide you the right food and have respectable customer service. This place was deplorable....
Read more‼️‼️i ordered a chicken sandwich and 4 piece chicken combo ( 3 piece thighs and 1 leg ) the LEG and 1 THIGH had a really foul smell ( after me and my friend split the chicken into two and ate it we realized) the other two pieces were fresh and did not smell funky and was rubbery . so as a unsatisfied customer i took those two chicken back at the counter keeping the other two with my chicken sandwich and told the guy working there in the drive thru section the problem he was really kind , understanding , apologized and removed a fresh batch of chicken to replace it with my order . HOWEVER the manager there HARVEEN ( around 4pm -4.45pm) was really rude . BESIDES THE KITCHEN BEING AN OPEN KITCHEN she said "OH AFTER EATING THE WHOLE CHICKEN " which was really rude and ruined my din in experience. Never i have ever had this uncomfortable experience at popeyes . really unprofessional. She then said "EVEN IF YOU REPLACE ANOTHER CHICKEN IT WILK TASTE THE SAME" knowing eveyone could her say this . Before she left the restaurant she gave me and my friend the rudest DEADLIEST LOOK . my day has been ruined i had to keep my fresh chicken aside as i lost appetite. i hope the owner sees this and takes action . i wish i took a picture but i had really long day at college and i was really hungry and im pissed at myself to choose popeyes today. i will make sure to tell my friends and family about this experience at this specific store in brockville all thanks to the manager MS HARVEEN . we weren’t mad about the food but the manager was mad for us complaining:) . she should improve the service rather than talking with the employe on the top of her voice so that everyone could hear the conversation… either don’t yell or say it...
Read moreI found this on fb ...is this your staff? I don't know how many popeyes in brockville please pass on to the correct restaurant.....This week at Popeyes, I witnessed some truly disheartening behaviour—the staff discriminated against a customer based on her appearance. Sure, she might be unhoused, but she was a PAYING CUSTOMER and even left a tip! The audacity of the employees to laugh at her tip. FYI, tipping isn't mandatory in Canada—it's a courtesy so instead of mocking her, you should appreciate her business; after all, she’s contributing to your paycheques ffs! This lady was one of the nicest people I’ve met in Brockville, and we had a delightful conversation. She may be facing tough times, but her bright smile shows incredible resilience. The moral of the story? Be compassionate and treat everyone with respect. Not everyone is as they appear. Sometimes, a little kindness is all someone needs to find their way. I hope this story inspires others to be more kind and compassionate to the less fortunate. They are fighting to survive every day while some of us have the luxury of sitting comfortably at home, spending taxpayers’ money on frivolities like ice caps and questionable tattoos. Anyway, enough of my rant. Thanks for reading this far. Hope everyone has an awesome week and sending positive...
