The Bourbon Tap & Grill — Restaurant in Ontario

First time visiting this location while visiting from out of town. I have been to the location on Tecumseh a few times and have loved each visit.

At this location we were told to seat ourselves (just find a table we like). We then had to wait a few minutes for someone to come bring us menus. Once we ordered our drinks they took so long to come that I had forgotten I had even ordered a drink. Then we ordered our food - the parmesan bites appetizer and a slab of ribs plus a side for each of us.

We have always loved the ribs at the Tecumseh location, that's why we eat at Bourbon Tap & Grill. The ribs were so tough I had trouble cutting them apart with a knife and fork and it took effort with my teeth to tear the meat away from the bone. Terrible quality. I ate a couple ribs and lost interest with the taste and effort. Packed it up to go knowing my dogs will enjoy it far more than I would. Neither of us enjoyed the quality of our entrees.

I will say we loved the parmesan bites - they were great! But if the highlight of your food is in the appetizer and then it goes downhill that's not a great thing.

Next time I am in town I will visit the Tecumseh location to see if there was a decline in their food quality or if this location is just subpar to that location.

Our server was slow despite the restaurant having many open tables when we were seated. At the time we left it was much busier, however. I have no intention to return to this particular location and I would not feel comfortable recommending it to others the way I would the location...

I used to come here all the time and I just want to say to the owners to please make some changes as I really feel like the place went downhill. I don’t mean to be mean, but it was just a really bad experience all around and this is not what I had grown to love when I lived in the neighbourhood five years ago.

The place was pretty empty even during the Leafs game and our waitress took like 15 minutes to even acknowledge us. Our drinks took a while and we were about to order food and she let us know that she had to do something really quickly first which was understandable. She didn’t come back for another 15 minutes and took our food order. The food was also just not good.

Our calamari was a smaller portion and the waitress did mention that it was the last order so it would be discounted. Sadly it was just very overcooked and I feel like they should just not have charged us. I ordered the chicken wrap and fries and everything was just bland. I asked for ketchup but never received it. On the plus side, I really enjoyed the 3 pizzas our table ordered.

I think my experience was just plagued by really bad service and some mediocre food. I will say our waitress was super friendly and sweet, but just feel like she could have done a better job. Overall I hope the owners or management can see this and know that this is not the...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this establishment and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere was truly amazing and I found myself reluctant to leave the stunning view. The flower arrangements throughout the patio added a beautiful touch to the ambiance, and the soothing sounds of the waterfall made for a relaxing background while enjoying my meal.

The service was excellent and our server was attentive to our needs throughout the visit. My guest and I decided to share a platter of rib and wings, which turned out to be both delicious and ample enough for both of us to enjoy. It was evident that the kitchen takes pride in preparing their dishes with care and attention to detail.

I highly recommend this establishment as a perfect spot to meet with friends for drinks or a meal. It's clear that the management and staff have put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming environment, and I am already planning to return before the summer ends to enjoy the patio experience once again.
