What a gem! There are not a lot of restaurant options for breakfast in Cayuga, but with The Carolinian in town, there is no need to look for anything more! The Café & Eatery had been open for just a few minutes when we walked in. It was not very busy; yet!! The restaurant is very clean. On this beautiful Friday morning, the staff were energetic and happy to serve. We grabbed a table and waited for our food at one of the many tables. The art work on the wall, drawings from local folks, was very entertaining. I loved that the coffee was self serve, and free to refill. It was really good coffee. Our food came promptly. We ordered the Canuck Sandwich and Bob’s Breakfast. Both were healthy and delicious options! There is free street parking all around the restaurant. It did get quite busy quickly as people came to get their coffee before heading to work or school.

I stopped in at The Carolinian Cafe in Cayuga for the first time. 😃 I asked a fellow who was just coming out, "My first time here: what meal should I order first?" He smiled and said, "Order anything, it's all good!" And he was right! I had the special: Fish Sandwich with fruit on the side and a glass of orange juice! It was wonderful! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars! They not only provide a wonderful regular menu, but offer gluten-free and vegan options as well. And they host local artisan's offering a wonderful spot downtown to showcase their talent. Final Word: It's worth the drive to Cayuga to stop in for lunch and a lovely walk downtown. Mark your calendars and stop in soon! 🙂

Passing through town, a local recommended I stop in. So glad I did! What a beautiful atmosphere with amazing service. Smiles a patrons all enjoying a beautiful day. Ordered a specialty iced chai. And a scrumptious peanut butter cookie. The variety of options were great. All homemade and fresh baked. Sit inside, sit outside or take to go. The value and service stand high above that of any fast food coffee chain. My day was made better with my stop to this little gem. Highly recommend!

Listen - do you enjoy the best coffee you can find in this county? Do you like visiting a place that has a welcoming ambiance that feels both fresh and nostalgic at the same time? Do you enjoy baked goods or lunch items that are as close to sublime that our universe can attempt? Do you like interacting with the nicest and friendliest service staff that you've literally ever met? If you said no to any of these questions, you might not actually be looking for a cafe. You might be more inclined to take yourself down to the river for a bath, like the dirty muskrat you certainly are. But if you do like theses aforementioned cafe things, then the Carolinian Cafe is as close to heaven as even the most saintly among us can hope to get to, here on earth. An absolutely fantastic place that will not disappoint - I mean, do you realize what pickled onions can do on a sandwich? You would, if you came here to eat one of their delicious sandwiches! If there is even one thing you don't like about the Carolinian Cafe, you might have to look inward for your answer, because really, this is the best damn place you will ever go in your life. Period. Ample street parking available, highly...

my gf and i have called this establishment on multiple occasions over the past 5-6 months to place a pick up order. everytime we call they have barely any baked goods. and when they do, every single time we've called they just have blueberry muffins.

More often than not they don't even answer the phone, and the hours they're actually open are all over the place. The lady that answers the phone (not sure if it's the owner or not? sounds like she does not want to talk to you and does not want your business) Tbh I wouldn't be suprised if they were going to close up shop. Because their attitude does not reflect one of ppl that truly care. The guy that works there is def not friendly either. Treating your customers well is so important, but for whatever reason they really don't...
