We had a wonderful experience dining in. I made a reservation the day before just to make sure we have a spot for Friday night dinner. My family friend and her kids came all the way from Toronto. They we're delayed for an hour so I called again 3 hours before the time I book it for and the staff was nice to accommodate us. It was full house when we got there. I ordered a Hot beef meal with gravy and fries on the side. It comes with a bread underneath it, I've never had that before and it was really good. I wish I ask if they have steamed veggies. My 6-year-old had quesadilla and fries for his dinner. He also ask for a dessert, so he ordered Reese's pieces cake. It was delicious! If you love Reese's pieces or just peanut butter, that dessert is amazing! Overall, we had a good time. I definitely recommend going there. Next time, I'd try their Salmon, the vegetables on the side looks delicious!

My husband and I were looking for a quick lunch in East end of Belleville today and decided to try the Dugout. Service was very fast and efficient. It was about 2:30 in the afternoon so it wasn't very busy and there was no wait to get in. I had the 8 oz strip loin steak with a baked potato and chef salad and my husband had the third base burger. My husband said that his Burger was very good and even though the fries were of the frozen variety, they were not bad. My steak was just a tad overcooked, but was still edible. The baked potato was huge as was the chef salad. We also shared the deep fried curd appetizer and that was fantastic! It was a huge order for only $10. Overall, for the price it was a good meal and I would go again and try something else on the menu. I have heard that the Montreal smoked meat sandwich is good.

So I have deleted my past review. This restaurant caters and does fundraisers. You must check before going as the restaurant may be closed to the public. In my past review, I was perhaps harsh as 3 times in a row they were closed to the public. Last night we gave them another chance. About 70 percent of the restaurant was closed to the public but they did allow us in. AGAIN MAKE SURE YOU CHECK WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA. As for the food, it was fantastic as we remembered it back when it wasn't always closed. I have attached images. Although their coleslaw with fish n chips is just about the worst I've had the fish n chips were great. Chef needs help with coleslaw recipe, I could rescue him, but for the love of something will someone help him or her. Other than that no complaints.

My girl friend and I ate here yesterday afternoon. She ordered a 1/2 chicken wrap and I ordered a 1/2 Montreal smoked Meat. We both had sweet potato fries and Greek salad as sides. We also both asked for ice water. I was very disappointed when we were both served bottled water with a glass of ice. I have never been served bottled water at any restaurant I have ever eaten at. I understand that some customers request bottled water but that was definitely not the case. I should have refused it but did not want to make a scene. I truly believe that this is a policy that The Dugout owner has instituted so that they can make big profit from forcing their clients to pay for bottled water. After looking around at the other tables, I noticed that almost every table had at least 1 bottled water. I also am disgusted about this due to the fact that this adds more single use plastic pollution to the environment that is 100% unnecessary. As for the meals, my girl friend enjoyed her chicken wrap, but our Greek Salads were just regular house salads with a bit of feta cheese sprinkled on it and 2 or 3 sliced black olives added. My smoked meat was fairly large in size however it was probably the worst smoked meat I have ever had as the meat was very chewy. I am from the Montreal region and have consumed many excellent smoked meat sandwiches in my life. I don't know if it was the quality of the meat used or how it was cooked. I can believe that smoked meat would turn out very chewy if it was microwaved as the cooking/heating method. The service was fairly fast, however the server should have asked if we wanted bottled or tap water and not assumed or even served us bottled water without our request for same. Will not be returning to The Dugout ever again except possibly to try their breakfast...

Went to The Dugout in Belleville for lunch with a group of 8 ladies, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. As someone who’s had gastric bariatric surgery, I requested to order from the kids’ menu due to my limited food intake. I was told this wasn't allowed because they’d "have to let everyone do it." That kind of blanket policy with no accommodation for medical needs felt really unfair.

To make things work, I shared a $14.99 lunch special (pick 3) with the person beside me. Without asking us, the staff split it onto two plates and charged us each an extra $2.50. That’s $5 total for splitting one meal—which we didn’t request or agree to.

Also, we were charged for bottled water, as no free water option was offered.

Customer service was rigid and not understanding of dietary needs. I wouldn’t recommend The Dugout if you’re looking for flexibility or accommodation for...

First of all this is not the first time we have had a terribly waitress. First she lied to our faces saying the frozen ice machine wasn’t working then I asked for white wine she never asked which kind she just came back with a bottle and stared to pour it I asked what she was pouring and she made no comment, then she slammed our food down never saw her again till she came with the bill. Never asked if we wanted another drink or how was the food nothing. Talked to the owner Jennifer she said nothing was wrong with the ice machine . All she said was sorry, after I told her what happened Well any good place would have said it’s on use or here is a voucher for next time. When you are going out for a special meal prime beef you expect good service. When you don’t have good waitresses then don’t open the dinning area. I am very and I mean very disappointed in the service and the way we...
