This was not my first time at the tea house, but itâs been a while since my last visit. Not sure if the management changed or what happened but the service did not seem as strong as before. Then it came to ordering. Those who have been there before know the menu can seem overwhelming so I asked how it works. Like I said, itâs been a while since I was there last. The server had no idea what I was saying and was not much of a help so I went with the âsafe optionâ, hot chocolate. Itâs hard to mess up hot chocolate and who doesnât like hot chocolate? We were told something about a bowl and the hot chocolate gets served like that, they said we can see what they were talking about a bowl and we said that would be great, but then went ahead and served it in a bowl without showing anyway. That was fine honestly but the problem was the hot chocolate itself!! I had never had such a hard time drinking something as much as I did told. I mean it was HARD!! I canât explain but it tasted like water and some spice that did not taste good. No flavour, no sweetness, nothing! We were 2 and ordered 2 kinds of hot chocolate. One worse than the other! My friend had maybe 2 sips and left the rest. I still tried drinking mine but I truly could not handle the taste. I was hoping the server would come and check in and she did after a while. I politely said the flavour side not seem right and she said âis it your first time here? Sometimes people get it with maple syrup or something sweetâ we were not told the hot chocolate could require some sweetener but even a sweetener would NOT help the flavour. It was BAD!! Maybe I was expecting they could offer something to add to our drinks so we CAN drink, but nope!! She just walked away⌠We left our bowls there and paid $9 ish for one half drank hot chocolate and one not touched. I UPDATED COMMENT Server did NOT offer additional sweetener as I mentioned. Also we did Not ask for our drinks to be served in bowls. We didnât know what the bowls were and she was supposed to show us before servings which didnât. Also I ordered the spicy hot chocolate but my friend did not and if you noticed when taking away our drinks, her drink which was NOT the spicy hot chocolate was burly touched because it was impossible to drink it. I was not able to add another review or reply to the owners review so I added to my old review.
expected better customer service and better hot chocolate from there. Amazing teas but I never expected the hot chocolate be that awful. Plus who expected they needed to add sweetener to their hot chocolate. When you order hot chocolate, do you ask for sugar? No they usually are sweet, and if not, you get told as a heads up....

My friend and I followed their suggestions and tried the iced teas of the day, blueberry lemonade and mango tango. The verdict? Absolutely delicious! Refreshing, well-balanced, and bursting with flavor. No regretsâjust pure enjoyment and the desire to come back for more.
I donât remember exactly what my friend ordered, but it was a chicken sandwich that she said was incredibly tasty. As for me, I went for an everything bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Pure bliss! Every bite was a little moment of glory. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the preparation was thoughtful.
We had the chance to witness their special tea service: steaming teapots and beautifully arranged sandwich trays. Everything was served with care and without rush, honoring the ritual of tea in the most graceful way.
Though the space is small, it feels open and comfortable. The atmosphere is calmâperfect for chatting, reading, or simply savoring the moment. They also offer a wide variety of loose-leaf teas you can buy to take home, which makes the experience linger...
Read moreI so wanted this to be a lovely experience for my daughters birthday. Coming from out of town, I relied on the images and write up on the website that did not say the afternoon tea was plant based. When I shared my surprise about it being plant based/vegan to the server, she shared they donât publicly promote it otherwise it would put people off coming.
Why hide it and mislead people? The sandwiches were fine for me, but not for my teenage kids who were expecting similar to other afternoon teas that we have enjoyed for special occasions.
I ordered the birthday girl the full afternoon tea which, with only two sweets - one chocolate and a small biscuit, did not match or measure up to what is shown on the website and yet was $10 more expensive than the Garden Tea that I ordered đł
I shared my disappointment with staff as I paid the $123.00 bill and was told that sheâd mention it to the owner to update the website. There was no attempt or offer to make the situation right in any way.
Iâm all for vegan options, but not making that clear on the website is misleading. And not matching what is on offer left me with more disappointment than satisfaction. Thank goodness I didnât get the full...
