True Taco — Restaurant in Ontario

We were pretty disappointed in the quesa birria tacos we received today. Their Instagram made the tacos look delicious, which was why we initially wanted to try it. Unfortunately, the tacos looked absolutely nothing like the pictures (Instagram vs. Reality). Our tacos were burnt, small, and poor quality. The beef was initially good until we realized and tasted that 50% of the taco was hard fat, which means that the beef is not being slow cooked for long enough. The price is ridiculous, as you pay $12 for only two snack sized tacos. The “combo” does not even include a drink. We asked if we could pay for extra tacos even though the price was already unreasonable, and the girl at the cash said no which was so odd. The only thing that made me rate this two stars was the consume, as it was pretty good, but it was slightly more salty than densely flavourful. I recently ordered catering from True Taco for my boyfriend's graduation party. All I can say is WOW. The service was amazing, Jo was very communicative and gave me great suggestions for the party. They delivered the food exactly on time and packed beautifully. Everyone at the party kept saying how good it was and asked repeatedly where I got it from, the quesadillas and Taquitos were a hit! The tacos were gone almost instantly and the nachos were amazing (and a huge portion!). Everyone loved the pupusas as well, and the slaw that came with it was so good! We were eating that slaw with forks by itself! I had so many compliments on the food and would definitely order again. My only regret: I should have ordered more! Thanks...

The pupusas here were the best I've ever had. I tried the 'revuelta',and the 'chorizo and cheese'. The sauces were spot on, and I even enjoyed the curtido(pickled cabbage). I didn't enjoy the curtido much from the place that I used to get pupusa's from, but ate almost all of it from here. Also, the atmosphere of the weekend market is great on a Saturday, lots of great food/drink, and shopping. I will definitely be coming back.
