Villa Madina — Restaurant in Ontario

Let me start by saying this place has usually been my go-to spot for food when I’m at White Oaks Mall. However, after my experience yesterday, I won’t be returning.

I ordered a mixed combo that included 3 falafel, 3 stuffed grapevine leaves, potatoes, mushroom salad, tabouli, hummus, and garlic sauce. Right away, the falafel and potatoes were not even warm—but that wasn’t the worst part. The tabouli had wilted, questionable parsley, and the mushroom salad—usually my favorite—was absolutely awful. I bit into a mushroom that was covered in dirt and ended up with a mouthful of it. It was truly disgusting.

When I brought my plate back to ask for a refund, the woman working there looked confused and first offered more food, which I wasn’t interested in. She then told me I’d need to wait 10 minutes for the manager because she didn’t know how to process a refund.

When the manager finally came out, he was visibly annoyed, rude to both me and my friend, and initially refused to refund me. He offered more food instead, which I declined again. He took my plate and threw it in the garbage, then told me he could give me $5 back because I had “eaten the rest of the food”—which was completely untrue. After some back and forth, he finally gave me the full refund, but not without attitude. His behavior showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled and, unfortunately, will not be supporting this...

I don't really like writing reviews online but i had to write one about this terrible place. If google allowed i would give zero star to this place! Villa Madina has the worst customer service i have ever had. Today august 2nd 2017 at about 1.30 PM i was there to order some food, dont know the name of the employe but the guy was extremely rude! I asked him politely to make me some food, as he was putting veggies and rice on the my plate he asked me what i wanted so i responded can i have such and such. Next thing i know the guy stopped making my food and started teaching me manners about how i should say please everytime i asked for something as if it was not enough that i already said please few times during my order. I work in customer service and i try to be as polite as possible with my customer also the places i go as a customer. but I was totally taken by surprise how this guy got mad at me for something that would never even cross anybody's mind. So I canceled my order and took my business elswhere. Anyways today was my first and last time going to this place and i want people to avoid this place as i read other reviews that their food is even worst! Thank God i did not eat...

The food presentation looked very nice but the chicken schwarma was very blend. No flavour in the chicken at all and it was undercooked and other pieces were burnt black. Now the garlic sauce really shocked me how it had no garlic taste. You need to put garlic in there for taste. I suggested parsley for the chicken schwarma as it is very tasty and the owner said it tastes better on beef. Trust me it tastes really good in chicken too. Just parsley by its self. I go to another place and they do it like that. Overall I gave it a 1 because I really did not like the bland tasteless/undercooked and burnt pieces of chicken on my schwarma that I got. You need more flavor in your chicken and the garlic sauce has to have garlic. The sandwich tasted water down. I ate a little over half because i was hungry and tossed the rest of it in the garbage. Will I come back. Heck No! Sorry but its a waste of money. These owners need to go to other schwarma places that are quite popular and order food to know what it should taste like. Flavour is key! Not waterdown flavorless food. That's my advice...
