Yin's Restaurant Port Dover — Restaurant in Ontario

I am not sure what it is about Norfolk county but I have not had good Chinese food at any location I have eaten at, yet. Most dishes are filled with lots of celery and very little meat. Don't put Kung Pao on your menu if you don't know how to make it. There is no celery, broccoli, or peas in Kung Pao. The only thing you got right was the hot chilies and they weren't even hot. Oh there are peanuts in it to. The few pieces of beef were not marinated either, just the same beef that goes in your other dishes. I believe everyone giving a 5 star review must either work there, no someone who works there, or has never left Norfolk County for Chinese food. If you would like a caucasian to show you how to make Kung Pao, I would be happy to do so. Overpriced, lack of flavor and just plain wrong. Will not go back. I will stick with Asian Kitchen in Hagersville. For a small outfit, they at least know how to...

The food here used to be good when it was Lee's. Now that it is Yin's, the quality of the food has gone way down. The staff insist it is the same recipes but it's not or it's just that the ingredients are not the same quality. I have eaten there a few times before this review to try to give them a chance to improve since taking it over. Tonight was the last time. They did not get the order right. Take out food and we did not get one of the dishes we ordered and there was no sauce for the Su guy almond. So it was chicken. If you just want chicken balls and rice and aren't looking for good flavour then this will do. I prefer delicious and fresh. The one star is for their staff who are always nice but sadly the food...

Tonight we called right at 7:30 not realizing that it was closing time. Thankfully they made our order happily. When I arrived to pick up our order she informed me that the egg rolls were possibly not up to par. I said thats np and took my food back home to enjoy our dinner. When I arrived home I immediately tried an egg roll and to our absolute horror they were actually the best egg rolls weve ate in a long time. Apon trying the rest of our food we came to the conclusion this was the best batch of food weve eaten from there and we are return customers. They went above and beyond with service for us and we cant thank you enough for this. This is what small towns and Family businesses are about. 5 stars...
