St. Louis Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Orangeville

Food? Was great. Came out as ordered.. and was hot. Which tells this former food industry worker that the kitchen and FOH worked well together.

So, why am I giving this place 2 stars. As newcomers to the area, we wanted to try different places, meet people and get to know the community. Apparently at this location, they are only friendly to those that they know. (And we learned that if you call ahead.. you have your drink ready for you at the bar)

We walked in.. and no hello was given.

Then.. A server walked past us at the door without saying hello or giving any instructions.

I had to walk to the bar to ask if we can find a seat if we are to be seated.

I came to learn that they had a large party at the back.. but for this family of 3, it would have taken very little effort to say hi and say.. “grab a seat.. we’ll be right with you.”

We have experienced better hospitality at a McDonald’s.

There’s a really good chance we won’t be back. We may get takeout.. but for a night out, we’ll go somewhere where they are friendly to both those they know and...

I usually have a 10/10 experience when coming to this restaurant great staff great food great beer but this one experience kinda ruined it for me I was there to pick up a skip order Friday April 28 2023 I placed the order at 10:22pm and thought while I wait to pick it up I’ll go in and have one or two drinks got there at 10:30 to sit down at the bar and have a drink bartender come up to me and says we already did last call I’m thinking okay that’s fine I already have my food ordered so I don’t need food she hands me my skip order and I say to her I’d like to order a drink and she rudely says last call was already called now according to your sign in your window you don’t close till 12 so how is it your bar closes at 10:30pm maybe talk to you waitress that worked that night about a good time to close the bar is because 1h 1/2 before you actually close is not absolutely ruined my experience with this restaurant I still will come back but definitely won’t forget this bad experience definitely think management needs to have a talk with...

Was there this evening with some friends. 2 of our group were served raw chicken wings. Completely inexcusable in every sense of the word. While we didn't have to pay for the meals, neither the manager nor any of the cooking staff bothered to come out and apologize. They left it to their very new server to handle it all. I've been to this restaurant more times than I can count but I will not be returning.

UPDATE.... 3 months later and next to nothing. Got an email from a regional manager wanting to know my phone number to talk about my experience, never got a call. No apologies, no attempt to remedy the situation. No communication from the franchise owner or anyone with any kind of responsibility or authority. Despicable lack of response from this restaurant and the company that franchises them.
