Was extremely disappointed. My kids had a dentist appointment and when we were done they asked for a booster juice across the way. We bought booster juices them went to the sunset grill next door. We were told we must put our booster juices in one of the sunset grill cups if we wanted to drink them with the food we were ordering. I asked why and was told we are allowed to keep them but the waitess told us her manager said they must be in thier cups. Okay but why? It's not like we are not ordering your food while drinking our other drinks? We were told, because we couldn't bring food from another place to their restaurant and eat there.... why? what difference does it make what cup it's in? We left and ate at a restaurant that wanted our business and money. We had never been to a sunset grill before and we won't go back if my family's eating habits are questioned before we've even seen a menu. The manager didn't even come and say anything to us themselves, maid the waitress (who probably works for tips) do it. We were wondering why the restaurant was empty,...

This next part is my observation years down the road ....
As with many restaurants after COVID, I've found that our local location has suffered with maintaining the same attentive dining room service as before, and I don't love having to keep an eye on the waitress to ask for coffee refills. My Mom was a waitress so I understand the plight, and try not to be unreasonable myself.
On a similar note of higher prices after COVID, the syrup included with takeout orders is now about 1/3 the size it used to be, so we end up with a drier entree than desired.
The phone system too at our local restaurant seems to have a challenge; it either keeps going to a recording, or endless ringing with no one picking up, or picked up and then disconnected - this has been noticed on many occasions - the food is still yummy, still the best bacon around, but will cost you more and take longer to order if by phone.
We'll still go back, but am looking forward to enjoying it as much...
Read moreWent for breakfast here for the first time this morning. The food was good; however the rest of my experience was not positive. The tables are so close together at this location - they really cram you in like sardines. I was basically placed right up against the wall and felt trapped in as the back of my chair was right up against someone else’s. The temperature in the restaurant was SO HOT that the smell of breakfast (overly greasy sausage) combined with the heat made me feel nautious so even though the food was good I couldn’t eat most of it and had to take it home. I felt very claustrophobic, and had to get up multiple times to walk to the back (where they had the back patio door open) just to get some fresh air. I asked the server if the front door could be left open since it was so hot but she said only the back could be. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience, which is a shame because the food was actually good - the few bites I managed to try to eat. Don’t think I’m coming back unless...
