What should have been a nice celebratory dinner for our family quickly became a very stressful experience. Melted plastic in our food, large containers of overly salty and bitter soy sauce in lieu of of tempura sauce, requested small lemon wedges instead of wasabi and received underripe lime instead, our child’s meal sandwiched in next to raw fish when we had asked for separate container for child’s allergies. Melted plastic packages of sweet and sour sauce tucked into the centre of our food, instead of simply put on the side. Disappointed with how they had thrown our food together thoughtlessly, and with the incorrect items, we called the restaurant and a rude male employee proceeded to argue over the phone while our food sat and got even colder, adding insult to injury. When we asked to speak with the owner of the establishment the employee lied and said he was the owner and proceeded to argue again. Called back to get his name which he refused to say clearly or spell for us and after many questions, admitted that he was not the owner. Asked for the owner to call us back any time this week when they are free. The employee called back and pretended to be the owner again, offering a free meal. Called him out and then he was suddenly panicked admitting again that he was not the owner and asked if our request to speak to the owner was regarding his “ attitude” during the initial conversation and insisted that we not to speak to the owner. Really panicked and unprofessional. And kept saying that he could offer us a replacement meal or anything we wanted as long as we don’t speak to the owner. I declined and insisted that the owner call us during the week. He then proceeded to argue again. Highly unprofessional. What should have been a happy celebration for our family turned into one of the most stressful evenings we have had in ages. Save yourself the headache and order from the many other great establishments where employees still have respect for paying customers. Read moreDO NOT COME HERE! Absolutely horrible. This is probably the worst sushi restaurant if not the worst restaurant I’ve ever dined in. We came here not long ago and we were served gray/blue tuna sushi rolls. After much research i confirmed that tuna should not be gray/blue whatsoever. Like anyone would, I asked the server if I could exchange the dish since I wasn’t about to eat fish that had gone bad. But like an idiot, he kept insisting that it “wasn’t his duty” or whatever. So we just asked him if we could talk to the chef or manager. He agreed but literally never called either one. We were both waiting for someone to talk to for ages. We had to remind him. But after that he just kept repeating the same thing: it “wasn’t his duty”. He even said the manager was in a meeting. AFTER 30 FREAKING MINUTES. My mom was so fed up, so she just took the plate herself to talk to the chef. The chef just kept spitting the same nonsense. I’d like to add that they even told us that, and I quote: “it’s your problem, what you order you must eat”. So basically these fools are saying that we have to eat the food they serve us even if it’s GONE BAD! That is insanity at it’s finest. Also, their miso soup, soy sauce and even their tempura sauce was awfully DILUTED. It tasted like water. So not only are their services rude and horrible but their food is also so bland. Read moreI have been to this restaurant several times since it opened and have been okay with their service. Tonight was awful. Only 2 of us in our party. Waited 1.5hrs for only a couple of the items we ordered. In that time received 2 of the 10 items we ordered and 1/2 cup of green tea. It was busy so we were being patient expecting our food to come out any minute. We finally waved our waitress down and asked if the rest of the food was coming. After checking with the kitchen we were told they apparently gave our food to other tables. We were told to reorder quickly as the chef was leaving. At this point it had been just about 2hrs since we arrived. After waiting so long for food we decided to just leave. At that point the waitress got really defensive. Instead of apologizing for their terrible service ( I mean while we sat there chatting numerous tables sent food back that they didn’t order and asked for food they did) she proceeded to blame us for not asking where our food was sooner! This same waitress never once asked in the over 1.5hrs if we needed anything, never refilled our green tea (which we had to ask for 3 times to get in the first place) and never noticed in all that time we were sitting there with no food and empty drinks.
