This would've been the perfect restaurant experience in the region had it not been for one thing that ruined the entire experience for us.
Let's start with the food, which was on the spot. The chef's extraordinary cuisine is delicious from entrees to deserts. This is the second time we come here, and we're still pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes and the artwork that goes into each recipe. So my compliments to you, esteemed chef for your delightful dishes.
Moving on to the service, there was only one lady serving the entire restaurant, still, she made us feel like we're the only ones in the restaurant, which was half full. She was an absolute sweetheart and was so attentive to each table she was serving. She basically handled the job of 2 if not 3 waiters.
Then comes the atmosphere, specifically the loud obnoxious music. The awful music that was playing would make you think you're in an obscene strip club. The flagrant lyrics and very poor choice of different genre and awful remixes of already inappropriate songs makes you forget everything stated above. And you'd think they would have the music on low volume. Guess again: it was almost difficult to have a conversation without repeating your words and without seeming like you're shouting.
When we asked if there could be something done about it, they told us (waitress, and hotel reception) that the management wants this and they won't change it. Apparently we weren't the only ones to note this.
Well, management, congratulations on running the very hard work your staff has put in to make their clients thrilled with the food and service.
A word of advice to would-be customers: bring a noise- canceling headset, maybe you'll enjoy the sublime food and the...
Read moreA bit of a let down. Service was incredibly slow and our waitress was unsure of quite a few details of the meal when she did come by our table. I eaten in hundreds of restaurants and I was surprised that the prices did not meet up to the meals requested and received. For example I ordered a 7up (cost $3.75). About an 8 oz glass with a limp slice of lemon placed on the top lip of the glass. Once I finished the drink the empty glass was immediately taken away. I thought it was a bit early as we hadn’t received our appetizers. I asked if I could get a refill and was told that it would cost another $3.75. I said no thanks, but couldn’t believe that they wouldn’t refill at a 0 cost.
At the end our coffee arrived cold and in a half filled glass. Our mussels weren’t steamed enough as more than 20 were still not opened. Therefore not cooked enough. Vegetables were bland and over cooked, only slightly warm and there were very few.
Just too many mistakes for a meal that cost about $130.00 for my wife and I.
St Hubert’s BBQ would have been a better dinner option.

Read moreWe had the Sunday Brunch and dinner twice at the Tomahawk Grill while cocooning this past weekend. First off, I love that we could bring our dog with us to eat. There's a dining area (indoors) just outside the main hall, near the Espresso Martini bistro/bar where dogs are welcome.
Alexandre, the maître d', was accommodating, courteous and professional. Made sure we felt taken care of, and we really appreciate that. It was our first time at the spa and restaurant, but he made us feel like VIPs.
As for the food, pricing is pretty much what you would expect for a resort but not too outrageous compared to most restaurants these days. The food was tasty and we enjoyed our experiences each time.
There was a guitarist/singer on both nights that we were there and the song choices were great - I found myself tapping our feet and humming along while I waited for the food. Plus, during Sunday's HABS playoff game, they put it muted in the lounge area and we were able to watch it while we having dinner. Really...
