barBURRITO — Restaurant in Oshawa

I cannot comment on the staff as my order was brought to me by skip the dishes. I will give an honest review and will update when I get a chance to go in person.

The food was well packaged, maybe even excessive, in what looked to be fully recyclable cardboard containers. The Burrito was wrapped in the typical mylar paper foil everyone uses. I had a pulled pork burrito and it was quite a bit below the quality I was expecting. It was soggy, everything tasted like mush and was very runny. I believe some of this is because it was delivered to Bowmanville, and maybe made to soon prior to pick up which could lead to some of these issues. Burrito was on the hotter side of warm when it arrived. I didn't enjoy it as much as I was hoping.

I also had fries. They were packaged in the same cardboard box [think egg carton material] and were warm and tasty. ketchup, utensils and plenty of napkins.

I ordered a churro and was expecting something totally different from what I got. The competitors churro is a box with tortilla "curls" and flavoring and icing. They are about the same price but you only get 1 actual churro stick from here. On the upside, it tasted WAY better than the curls, but I was sad there was only 1. It is about 1/2 inch by 10 inches.

I had a side of salsa and chips. I didn't particularly like the tortilla chips, and the salsa was very watery and bland, although appeared to be freshly made within a few days anyway.

I also had a ginger ale. It tasted like ginger ale.

I will give them credit for use of so much reusable packaging. But work needs to be done on texture and tempurature. Salsa also needs to be thicker with a little more kick. Overall not bad, but with a little effort could be soooo...

Went here on a whim, used to go regularly at a different location, can’t remember why I stopped. Everything was so fresh, portion size was perfect and cost (not that I typically look for that) was super cheap. I had the extreme fries and was able to substitute pulled pork instead of beef and add whatever toppings and sauces I wanted. That plus a vitamin water came to $10 and change. I wish I took a picture but I devoured it in probably 5 minutes. The service was right on par with the quality. I didn’t grab his name but he was a taller, younger gentleman working on Tuesday afternoon around 4pm. He was so kind and helpful, he completely enlightened the whole experience. We ordered our food online, arrived approximately 5 minutes after it was supposed to be ready, however, the staff had no idea of the order and only began making it once we arrived and requested our order. They messed up both of our orders; the jerk chicken burrito wasn't jerk chicken and they didn't put any bang bang sauce on the bang bang shrimp tacos. The online order clearly states no ADDITONAL sauce, in capital letters as well. No sauce anywhere in the tacos, not even on the shrimp itself. They put way too much pickled onions on the tacos, more onions than any other ingredient. The lettuce was soaking wet which caused the tortilla to be soaked, and the proteins were just left out on the counter, never even re-heated. Food was cold and tasteless. Will never be returning to...
