Club Loreley — Restaurant in Oshawa

Since all 7 of their clearly marked disabled parking spaces (the only kind they have available) were taken up by staff and customers WITHOUT permits, I mistakenly parked in the driveway. The manager promptly came outside (after being tattle-tailed to by his red sweatshirt friend) to yell at people parked in the driveway, citing that it's a Fire Route. Of course we obviously moved, because I comply with municipal laws like people should! After doing so is when I immediately noticed that his own staff do NOT comply with the laws he just finished yelling at us about, nor does he do anything at all about all the people illegally parking in MARKED disabled spaces. Aside from this photo I also wrote down the license plates of all of his staff using disabled spaces and fire routes if he wishes to dispute this. If he does, perhaps we should involve the proper authorities? I'm sure you'll change your habits in case someone DOES report you, which would be a wise move. If that causes you some inconvenience, then GOOD. Enjoy your karma.

But the icing on the cake happened when the staff deliberately made me wait until the 6 people who showed up after me were served their food before me just for the sake of being ignorant, petty, and rude. This is a food venue and banquet hall? If German food is what you're looking for, there's far better European cuisine elsewhere, this is mediocre at best. As for banquet hall, we actually priced this place out earlier this year and it's not competitive at all but as I saw today, the manager here is an unparalleled hypocritical ignorant jerk so I'm glad we booked elsewhere...

Just celebrated a 60th Surprise Birthday Party with 30 people, family and friends, out in the garden with patio lights! It was so beautiful (a great blue heron flew majestically over us!) and Angelika, our bar tender was so attentive, keeping our wine glasses topped with Chardonnay while we feasted on Trevor's Rainbow Trout or Schnitzel followed by his delicious Black Forest Cake. We also enjoyed dancing to Colleen's Irish Ceili dances in the larger Dance Hall making this occasion most memorable. Given the amenities of Trevor's catering, dinner in the Garden under patio lights, a beautiful dance floor and liquor license this venue is ideal for all family celebrations even of larger sizes and we will be back! I went today during Fiesta Week, hoping to have a wonderful greeting, some delicious German food, and maybe a talk about family history. My Grandma is German and I have really been devoted to my roots in recent years. I walked in with a smile on my face and asked how the lady was doing. She disregarded me and looked to the people standing behind me that clearly walked in after me and said hello to them, then answered their questions. I said, “hi, I just have a quick question.” She proceeded to ignore me and talk to the people behind me. Only nodded to my question like it was an inconvenience to actually respond.
