Eggscellent Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Oshawa

I rarely give bad reviews, but I am making an exception. I think this was the worst meal I'd ever been served at a restaurant. I have been here 3+ times, and each time it was poor, but this was especially bad. I think the management needs to invest more in better staff, training, food, or all three.

Here are some of my complaints: 2 out of 3 orders were made incorrectly, even though the server wrote down the requests. I suspect the kitchen staff are not reading their orders, or just don't care. the "grilled chicken" on a sandwich was replaced with what appeared to be breaded mechanically separated chicken burgers, sliced in half to expose the "meat". the avocado on a sandwich was so unripe that it needed to be cut with a knife and fork. the home fries and fries were greasy and tasted bad. As a former fry cook, I suspect this means the fryers are not being cleaned often enough.

None of us were able (or willing) to finish our meals. The quality of food was below what I'd be willing to serve at home, much less what I'd expect to pay restaurant money for.

I'm surprised that the reviews for this place are so high, given my consistently poor experiences here. I don't know who is giving this place 5 stars, but maybe I've just been unlucky. I won't be trying my luck here again though, at least not until...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Eggcellent, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home.

The menu at Eggcellent is a true masterpiece. Their creative and innovative use of eggs in every dish is simply remarkable.omelette, and it was a flavor explosion like no other. The combination of fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked eggs, and unique spices showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs.

Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering fantastic recommendations that suited my taste perfectly.

In a world of dining options, Eggcellent truly stands out with its unique concept, exceptional culinary creations, and outstanding service. I can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu. If I could give more than five stars, I definitely would. Don't miss out on this eggstraordinary gem!

I found this place lasts year when I had to bring my son to summer school ! It’s family owned , and they r always welcoming ! The food is an amazing . I very picky about breakfast I like it a certain way and they kno how to make everything the way I like it ! I hadn’t visited all winter but as soon as summer started I brought 2 of my kids and they really enjoy it ! The best breakfast place I have eaten at in a long time , I live in Ajax but drive to Oshawa just to get breakfast no other place ! They even gave us pancakes we didn’t order the best breakfast you will never be disappointed ! I would recommend everyone go to this location best best...
