Delicious Greek — Restaurant in Oshawa

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! AVOID ORDERING FROM AT ALL COSTS....YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AS WELL!! When I entered the store the person who I assume is the owner was behind the counter cooking and never acknowledged my being there.....not too bothered by this as he was cooking. After about 2 minutes he finally asked if I was there to pick-up and I told him I had not ordered yet. His reply was "What do you want?" almost getting the feel that I was annoying him by being there! As I started telling him my order he turned his back on me and continued on the grill.....didn't know if I should continue telling him my order. When it was ready he did not even say thanks or have a good day, just said one word as he put the carry-out on the counter "Yours" The service was exceptionally bad and hoping the food was better.....but.....no, not much better. I was ordering for 3 and my order contained a gyro on a pita.....wanted to tell him what I wanted on it but never had a chance. The gyro was mainly a salad in a pita with a few pieces of gyro meat on top. You would think if it was gyro on pita then gyro would be the star and maybe even have courtesy of ordering toppings that I wanted on it. Very rude and food subpar for the price If you are looking for Greek food....look elsewhere!!!

I had to change my review from a four-star to a one star and unfortunately I will never be returning. Once the employee who I believe is the store owner handed me my takeout food. I could clearly feel through the aluminum container onto my hand that my food was so far from hot it was pathetic, it was just above room temperature. I used to manage a restaurant myself. I know that rice is a hazardous food if the temperature is not kept up. I mentioned that my food is cold and that I was going to have to go home and reheat. He disagreed with me telling me that the food just came out of the warmers and they're hot. I told him to feel the bottom of my takeout container, which he did not continue to tell me I was wrong, I asked if he would give me some extra tzatziki or a pita or a baklava for free because my food is cold. He refused. I told him I was going to leave and go give him a bad review. So here it is. I would not trust this location as they do not take health and safety issues seriously and one batch of bad rice could actually kill a vulnerable person or just give you terrible food poisoning if you're healthy...

STAY AWAY!!!! The kitchen is visible - hence witnessing the UNSANITARY conditions. The man behind the counter used the same tongs to handle raw chicken skewers, as he did with cooked ones off to the side of the grill (disgusting). When asked if he could use different tongs, he got defensive, & carried on with what he was doing (continuing to use the same tongs). The chicken was already supposedly cooked (probably from the day before), and took 30 minutes to wait for the pita bread to toast. Long story short, we walked out, without any lunch! Waste of 40 minutes. DO NOT EAT HERE - you’ve been forewarned! Find elsewhere to get/eat Greek food, other than in a convenience store. They should stick to selling...
