I'm here to share my experiences with reggae food spot for anyone wanting to check it out the first time was just a large oxtail i had gone at the end of the day the taste was good but nothing special I figured it was because it was the end of the day and most the fresh stuff had been bought but I was okay with what I got and my girlfriend was happy about her fish. Fast forward a few weeks girlfrind wanting fish led us to head back and try out some more food and this time I made sure to get there early they had many options available, both of us felt that the food was made with love and not greed in mind my acki and salt fish had more then I was expecting and it wasn't all mashed 9/10 experience In my opinion the wife is the star of the show after seeing her juggling everything in the back and still hearing what I'm saying / ordering just amazed me i gave up trying Jamaican foods in oshawa because they just didn't cut it sadly this place is only open on the weekends but well worth it and the 9/10 is simply because I hate crowds this is the only Jamaican food spot I check out currently and it's the only spot that makes smile...
Read moreI was craving oxtail and curry, and after seeing this spot had a 5* rating we traveled to these fine ladies...and let me tell you something...this vincy is some glad he did. Momma and big sis I'll call them made the experience so warm. You can taste the love in the food!
Festival and bakes were just like my Nanna makes, pig tail red pea soup was over the top, the patties were flaky and right amount a spice, I want to tell you the ox tail and curry chicken are terrible in a hopes there's more for my next visit....but not me and Dat man, can't tell yuh lies the Flava was off the charts. Coco bread and plantain, penut punch, banana drink and champagne kolas to wash it down. The hospitality was unreal, momma went out of her way to treat my son to a patty and me the pea soup on the house... It felt like I was having Sunday dinner at my nanas whose not well at the moment...so this act of kindness, these ladies spirit and this quality of food made me smile the whole time.. avoid mto weigh spots if traveling with their portions they sure ta put yuh over de scales!!!
Will go back again and again Bless up...
