Fiance and I were staying at the Villa close by, about 5 mins away from the restaurant. We were both tired from our drive and saw that they do delivery. So we call for delivery. The girl answering the phone seemed to have no idea where the Villa we are staying at was. I gave her the address and told her it's a five min drive according to the address information . She seemed confused the entire phone conversation and in a hurry. Unconvincingly, she told us "we don't deliver there, sorry." Anyway, confused by the conversation and being way past dinner time we decided to just drive over and dine in. It was getting late and we were both starving . Plus, being a Sunday night, we were worried about everything closing early. A quick five min drive later we arrive. There was underground parking available. They share parking with the hotel. Lots of parking, good.
We entered through the elevator/hotel entrance and were a little confused as to where to go. The front desk is on the opposite side. Eventually, someone noticed and asked us if we needed a table. We had about an hour before it was closing time. (They close at 9 pm). The restaurant wasn't super busy, a handful of scattered tables and a few people sitting at the bar . Lots of employees running around but not entirely serving customers. First thing , no one seems to be very welcoming. Took awhile to get someone over. Waitress was sort of short and unfriendly. Gave us menus and asked for drinks right as she gave us the menus. We haven't even had a moment to even look at the menu. So feeling abit rushed , we just said water . She left and came back a little while later with our water. We both decided on salads. A Ceasar salad and a chicken pecan salad . Again we were ready but just sitting there because no one was coming over. Finally waitress comes back and orders are placed. I ask for avacado because I didbt want bacon and most places let you do a substitute or add for extra but she tells me they don't have avacado. You don't have avacado?? What.. okay so anyway it's fine I say. About 25 minutes later our salads arrive. We are aware of time and quickly start eating. Salads were both just okay. Nothing special, I've had amazing salads before and this was meh not bad but not great. Presentation could have been better and portions could be abit bigger for the prices you pay. Pricey for a mediocre salad.
But it did the trick and we finished before closing. No dessert for us. We ask for bill and get ready to leave. Waitress comes over with the bill and machine and starts making friendly conversation with us while we pay. She asked us about our stay and we chit chat with her for abit. She seemed to have come around towards the end and was very warm and friendly. I couldn't say the same for throughout the night though. We paid and left a really decent tip considering the not so great experience.
I think we will skip this one for next time. Far too many...

Food came but there was no sharing plates, cutlery or napkins. We had to ask for them.
Food was ok. Not a lot of flavour. Wings were cooked really well we love them but the sauce was not that good. Honey hot was only hot there was no sweetness from honey. My chili and lime wings were only salty and slightly sour but no lime taste. Bandera bread is always good no complaints there.
Main courses came one at a time. Steak was literally so tough and chewy we could barely cut through it with the steak knife! Also when the steak came there was only a knife with it. No fork! Lol! And the steak knife was literally falling apart. My Mac and cheese was decent but bland. Asked for salt, server says yes and we never got it.
We ordered one dish to go and ended up waiting ages for it when our server says it’ll only be a few more minutes. Finally when it arrived it came on a dine in plate. Told the food runner we ordered it to go with our server not for dine in. She apologized and told me sorry the server is new… ok that’s fine I understand. But then we proceeded to wait another 15 mins and nothing was brought back to us in proper to go container. Had to call back our server and asked him where our take out was. He says sorry it’s probably just sitting in the back let me go get it for you. lol. We were getting so impatient waiting around for so long just for our food to be sitting in the back. Disappointing.
I was very patient during this whole experience and very understanding of the fact that our server was new. But it was a lot of mistake in such a short period of time. I just didn’t feel like it was worth $155 not including tip! Only good thing was the view from the patio but I can get that anywhere in beautiful Osoyoos. Probably won’t be coming back. Sorry.
Edit; reduced to a one star because they just give out the same “corporate” style responses to their customers with bad experiences. Not even one single “we are sorry” in their response but they had time to type out everything else. Saying “sorry you FELT your visit was a 3 star” doesn’t count!!! Sounds like it’s my fault for feeling that way!! Thanks for being sorry for my feelings but not actually sorry for the bad experience you guys gave me that gave me those feelings LOL! Also why do you need me to re tell you my experience elsewhere? Google isn’t enough? Everything I said up in my review wasn’t detailed enough? You can’t copy and paste it yourself? You gotta make me jump through more hoops to MAYBE get a sincere apology from you??? No thank you!! I just won’t come back and let’s leave it at that...
Read moreMe and my family went to boston pizza osoyoos about a week ago and i don’t usually do this but I have thought about it and i really need to. I have worked in a restaurant for many years and have never seen the type of service that i experienced that day and as a manager I would be disappointed. First, We walked in to the restaurant and the host was very rude and seemed like she didn’t really know was was going on, which is okay if she is new but she may need some more training. Second, once we got to the table it took 15 minutes to get our drink orders and it wasnt even busy. Our server seemed to ignore us for most of the night so it wasn’t a surprise by the end of the night. The food was cold and took an hour to come out and my sister got an ice tea which was clear enough that it almost looked like water. at the end of the night we wanted to bill as we were just sitting there and we didn’t get it for 35 mins. once we got fed up we ended up walking inside from the patio to ask for our bill and were sitting at the bar waiting for it, well at the bar we were talking about how we never have experienced this find of service before to each other AND THEN THE BARTENDER started to drop into our conversation and be very rude towards us. Now i get being annoyed by an annoying customer which we weren’t but i assume that they are taught that the customer is always right like everyone else working in service. But we were patient all throughout the night, we just wanted to have a quick dinner and it ended up being 2 and a half hours of waiting and not getting what we wanted. This dinner was to get my grandma out of the house because her sister has stage four cancer and her mom just died and instead of cheering her up the entire evening was destroyed but the lack of care these people have for their jobs. Not to mention the 200 dollar check at the end of the night. Nothing was taken off not the icetea not the cold pizzas nothing was even discounted for the amount of time we sat and waited. AND WE STILL TIPPED 20% at the end of the night which wasn’t deserved at all by any of the staff. We will not be going there again even though it’s one of the few places where people go in osoyoos. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY...
