Mami's Pizza — Restaurant in Osoyoos

I don’t mean to sound like a Karen. I really hate to leave a negative review on a local restaurant especially because it’s summer and busy season. Being in the industry I know how stressful it is but I thought I should let the restaurant know for future reference. The chicken in my donair smelt and tasted rotten. When I opened the donair up I saw the chicken was pink and slimy (raw/undercooked). Please make sure the chicken is cooked/safe to eat before sending it for takeout. I know mistakes happen and maybe it was prepackaged and gone bad but please check with the supplier or talk to the cook. My salad also didn’t come with dressing or have dressing on it. There were a few dry spices but 0 oil or anything that resembled dressing. Maybe it got missed and they meant to put the dressing on the side in the bag? This fine establishment took our order for home delivery and said 40-45 minutes, we said sure. After 80 minutes at 8:20 pm we called back to inquire about the delay, at which point they said it's been busy and I would have to pick up the order, which wasn't possible. I asked if they even made the order and he said no because they couldn't deliver it. No courtesy call back to us so we could order elsewhere even though they had our number from when they took the order. Very unprofessional and shows a cavalier disregard for the customer. Update: After making and eating our own dinner they did show up - 2 hr and 10 minutes after we placed the order. We called this restaurant to order pizza and asked about delivery, but they told us they didn’t offer delivery, so we placed an order for pick-up instead. When we arrived, they hadn’t even made our order and seemed to have completely forgotten about it.

While we were waiting, we saw a delivery driver outside picking up a huge stack of pizzas to deliver, proving they do offer delivery, which means they lied to us on the phone for no reason. We ended up having to wait an additional 20 minutes for them to finally make our order, with no apology or urgency to fix their mistake.

Overall, it was a very unprofessional experience. We wasted our time, gas, and energy because they gave us false information and couldn’t even have our food ready when we arrived. Really...
