Best restaurant experience in Ottawa by a long shot!

We came earlier than our reservation time and we were accommodated, no issue. The two servers working were so professional, so dedicated to incredible customer service and very friendly and personal. It’s hard to say what was the most impressive thing, because the service was top notch and the food was also so incredible.

Both servers worked as a team, making sure that every customer was well taken care of. You know how you see some servers standing around, not coming to your table – well these two were not doing that – they were moving around quickly as needed to get to the tables, make warm conversation with their customers and ensure everyone was happy.

One of the servers appeared to be a master-mixologist, because she made the most incredible, beautiful, delicious drinks. Normally I would just get one, but I couldn’t resist. She was creative, customer-centric, and produced delicious drinks.

The food – OMG! Normally, there’s some dish that is better than the others. There’s some dish that is perhaps average. NOTHING WAS AVERAGE here! We started with a seasonal appetizer, which was a breaded and fried zucchini flower stuffed with some type of ricotta cheese. The microgreens and the cheese, we were told, were grown/made in house. It was melt-in-your-mouth yummy. Then we shared two mains, the chicken and the veal chop special with gnocchi. The sauces were so good. The veal was cooked perfectly.

The food is not cheap, but it’s cheaper than other fancy restaurants in Ottawa so it’s a good value if you want the best food for not the most expensive price. The food and the service couldn’t have been better, so I rate it 5 out of 5 (perfection)!

This restaurant offers excellent food and inviting ambiance. The staff is friendly and attentive, contributing to a warm atmosphere. I have eaten here numerous times and always still remains as my favourite go too! If you want an amazing meal, superb service and quality care this is a place to visit. The food was top quality some of the best I have had. To say what is my favourite, that is a tough one. We have tried just about everything on this menu- starting from small plates to all the delicious salad, the pasta, pizza and mains are all one more exceptional than the other!! So much flavor in each bite, and great portion sizes. Also makes for great sharing plates if you are with a group, it is an excellent way of being able to try more off the menu. Every drink is incredibly delicious, the espresso martini’s are second to none and throughout the summer months there are weekly new feature drinks which makes it exciting and something different!! A must go, a must taste, a must of an experience!!

The ambience, just gorgeous from the outside and inside. If you are planning to attend over the summer months and looking for a cute patio, this place is the one! Quaint. covered, cozy and comfortable!!!

Ozzie is an exceptional host. He and his staff were all so friendly, hospitable and made our meal a memorable experience. Ozzie always makes the effort to get to spend time with his guests and get to know everyone better. If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would!!! You MUST eat at this restaurant if you have not yet, or in Ottawa visiting. The servers were also extremely knowledgeable about wine and recommended the perfect accompaniments to our meal.
