I have been planning to try this british pub for a while and today I made it happen, as I grew up in London,England I do sometimes miss some of the british food. We went there for lunch with my friend, they were about 14-16 people inside. We were greeted with Courtney,( our server) atmosphere and ambiance was ok, our table was a bit wobbly, but the server fixed it for us. We ordered orange juice for myself and Pepsi for my friend, Courtly came back to get our Oder, it didn’t take long before we had the food. I had Brixton burger. My friend had toasted cheese, I find my burger a bit blunt, I can tell that it wasn’t house made, and Bun was a bit stale. the burger came plain, fries and a burger in a plate, No salad garnish to make the plate more appealing. No Pickle. no relish ,or mayo so I have to asked our server to have some condiments. Which is fine! When our server came back to us, I ask her to confirm weather the burger is made in the house or not, and she it was bought in. Small business like this, I expect the burger to be made in the house. And expect more british cuisine in the menu.( as it says in their logo) I can not comment the beer top as I don’t drink alcohol, but he bar looks well stocked. I do support family run local business. This is only my personal observation. And I still give them...

First visit review (Feb 2024): Food was good - I had a club sandwich (excellent) with fries (ok), and I was impressed with how much fresh chicken was stuffed into it. Filling!

Service was not particularly engaged or interested in me or any other customers except for friends sitting at the bar. It was: "Hi, where would you like to sit?" Given a menu... take my order... clear empty plate and ask if I wanted anything else... take my payment. All regular stuff, but not happy I was there (kind of robotic) and I observed same approach for other guests.

Atmosphere: this is supposed to be a British style pub... it kind of looks like any other pub inside. Yup... you could find a pub that looks like this in England (been there many times)... but you could also find it anywhere else too. This is Ottawa, Canada... if you want to do a British pub... you really should increase the "British" in the place... kind of boring and tired decor inside. Needs upgrade.

Conveniently located on Sparks Street close to parliament ... I will go a second time because the food is good... and I want to give the service a...

I was very disappointed in the service we received here. A large group (approx. 10+) of us went in to celebrate the departure of a colleague. One individual in our party chose to drink water rather than an alcoholic beverage (as is his choice). However, when this individual went to order a plate of nachos, the server, who was quite rude, stated that he was not able to because he did not purchase a "drink" but she would make an exception given she assumed he was sharing with those of us who had purchased a drink. I was shocked by this. Why shouldn't he be allowed to order food, just because he did not purchase a beverage? If this is an actual policy, then I am shocked. You would think any establishment that is in the pub business would want to provide service to their customers regardless of whether that be in the form of a beverage or a food item. Will never return nor will any of my colleagues. Oh and the nachos were disgusting. Would give 0 stars...

This was my first time in Ottawa for Canada Day. I ate on the evening of June 30th. I went in finding it not busy with people but the waitress greeted me and was quick for taking care of me. She and the cook had a little playful battle with each other and it stuck in my mind how great it is for people to have fun at work. I was the guy who told her to throw the extra toonie tip at the cook to help her win the battle ha ha. The food was greatly priced I went for the wings and for 50 cents more I did a poutine side. I plan to come to Ottawa next Canada Day with the tour group I used and hope to visit again. Thank you once again for making my service memorable.

Brixton’s is a great little spot to grab a bite and a drink on Sparks Street! The patio is definitely the star of the show, with its vibrant atmosphere and a mix of interesting people passing by, all set against the charming architecture of the area. It’s a super laid-back place that's perfect for hanging out and chatting with friends. We tried the chicken tacos and crispy fries, and while the food is pretty standard, it definitely hits the spot! Their house beer is quite enjoyable too. Just a heads-up, though: the service was a bit slow, as we waited about an hour for our meal. But overall, it’s a nice place to relax and enjoy the vibe!

I have been here on a few occasions and have enjoyed myself each time. During my latest visit for lunch, I ordered a cream of cauliflower soup, quesadillas, and diet pop. My meal was tasty and the service was quite good, so kudos all around. With that in mind, I should note that with tax and 20% tip included, my bill came to $34. In terms of lunch options on Spark Street this is definitely among the more expensive places, so if you want something cheap this may not be the place for you. Bottom Line: This is a good location to get a pub meal, as well as watching a sporting event while drinking beer, but it ain't cheap.
