I guess only the word TERRIBLE would explain the entire experience in the Bier Markt. Let's start from the beginning: - the waitresses and the host lady a.k.a. wanna be Victoria Secret models has nothing but a bad attitude and manners. As a face to the restaurant/bar they've created bad taste at the very beginning.... Horrible ttansactional relationship with nothing but bad attitude.... Next - the food.... Omg... I know that Canada Day was 3 days ago but Jesus Christ... The fries were probably made last Canada Day and were warmed up once a week until we arrived... I thought - let me order a coffee... The wanna be model that was serving us said that there is no espresso as it was all spent on Canada Day... Wait what??? Ok I said - can we order filter coffee? She granted our wish and 15 min after came and gave me a spilled coffee, so much spilled that the base was no longer having any space available. Next - we ordered a cranberry juice for my little one and pineapple ninja mojito... I think there was 1/2 inch of cranberry and everything else was ice... Buy the best of all was when I got the mojito with a straw smaller than the glass.. And the prices.... Omfg... $20-25 for a salad, $25 for a burger... They are making money just from a location perspective, everything else is simply horrible. I am hoping this will help you make a.wise decision and avoid the place even though the patio and location is nice.

Wanted to try a new patio downtown while we checked out festivities on Spark St. The staff were friendly and they had a lot of types of beer and they are right on Sparks st...that's about all they have going for them. The patio table had chairs, which were fine, but also a rattan bench that is pretty uncomfortable and you slide into the middle - if there's two of you you're both sliding into each other. The food was barely acceptable; I had the True North poutine which was just a few chunks of mid-rare beef? Weird move. Wife had sad-nachos and I tried just a plain nacho chip and it was one of the worst things I've ever put in my mouth, immediately broke down into a greasy glue paste, and I'll eat pretty much anything. Also, maybe I'm missing a historical significance but why is there a huge statue of a baby holding its wiener right above the main entrance. Also a weird move. This place would be fine if you're just looking for some beer on a patio in a high-traffic area to people watch but this is not my speed and wont be coming back.

Value for $$ is a 1☆ Quality of food 2☆ We arrived for a late lunch a little after 3 pm on a Tuesday. We greeted immediately at the door and decided to eat indoors. There is a large patio but our party of 6 required a booth to be together. Our server was great. I had the pretzel and beer cheese and it was gross and sad. The pretzels were sad. I don't know what else to say. Bad bread, no salt, no flavor or substance. The beer cheese lacked flavour and was as depressing as the pretzel. The kids menu was a little bit of a highlight. The kids pizza and fries as well as wings and salad were enjoyed. Although 4 wings isn't a whole lot for a 10 year old. 2 of 6 said their meal was good. The poutine was terrible compared to the local chip truck poutine and it was 3 times the price. Charged 3.50 to upgrade a handful of fries to a Cesar in a tiny bowl. Would not come back to a BierMarkt.

I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Daytona at Bier Market. My partner and I recently had the pleasure of being served by Daytona, and we were truly impressed by the level of hospitality and professionalism.

From the moment we sat down, Daytona made us feel incredibly welcome. Her warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. What stood out the most was Daytona's genuine enthusiasm for ensuring our time at Beer Market was nothing short of exceptional.

Daytona's knowledge of the menu was not only extensive but delivered with a passion that showcased a true love for the culinary offerings at Bier Market. They took the time to guide us through the options, providing recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. It was evident that Daytona takes great pride in her role as a server, and their commitment to customer satisfaction shone through.

What truly set Daytona apart was their attentiveness. Despite the restaurant being busy, Daytona made us feel like we were their top priority. They anticipated our needs and ensured that our glasses were never empty, and our plates were cleared promptly. It's the little details like these that made our dining experience memorable.

Daytona's excellent communication skills were also noteworthy. She was not only well-versed in the menu but could expertly answer any questions we had about the different beer offerings. This added a delightful and educational aspect to our meal, enhancing the...

I was here before. They have a nice terrace that is enjoyable in the summer time. The food was never their forte but they have a large beer selection so overall a nice place. However this review is not about location, food, or beer. It is based solely on the interaction with the staff. Yesterday, my friend and I, entered the place and planned to spend some time there. Inside there were about 15-20 people and at least six empty tables. The person who greeted us told us that they cannot accommodate us because they are at capacity ( remember 6 tables at least were empty) and that they want for the existing customers the best experience possible. I didn’t understand if the experience was going downhill because of our presence ( this is what I’m tempted to believe) or because they didn’t felt like working too hard that day so taking it easy while still at work would provide an ok experience to the couple of customers inside. Anyway we left and went to another place where we haven’t had this bizarre experience. Immediately after we left another couple entered the door but haven’t looked back to see if they accepted them or not. Probably not. I’m impressed how “making business” evolved in an industry that has been so affected lately. To me is like they don’t care if they make a profit or not or if they will have a place to go to work tomorrow (because 15-20 customers are not enough to pay a premium spot in Ottawa). Bizarre, ...
