Value for $$ is a 1☆ Quality of food 2☆ We arrived for a late lunch a little after 3 pm on a Tuesday. We greeted immediately at the door and decided to eat indoors. There is a large patio but our party of 6 required a booth to be together. Our server was great. I had the pretzel and beer cheese and it was gross and sad. The pretzels were sad. I don't know what else to say. Bad bread, no salt, no flavor or substance. The beer cheese lacked flavour and was as depressing as the pretzel. The kids menu was a little bit of a highlight. The kids pizza and fries as well as wings and salad were enjoyed. Although 4 wings isn't a whole lot for a 10 year old. 2 of 6 said their meal was good. The poutine was terrible compared to the local chip truck poutine and it was 3 times the price. Charged 3.50 to upgrade a handful of fries to a Cesar in a tiny bowl. Would not come back to a BierMarkt.

Was in Ottawa for a wedding and figured we'd try it after hearing many great things. Unfortunately we were sadly disappointed. I was willing to give a bit of leigh way as it was the Sunday after Canada day but honestly if your kitchen manager can't get proper kitchen staff or order enough stock maybe you should've closed after lunch. As per the pics the poutines fries were under cooked next to no cheese curds and well the pizza picture speaks for itself. I guess besides being out of wings they were running out of cheese curds, cheese and jalapeno sausage and needed to skimp by to make it through the rest of the night. I've never done a review before but had to post. If your kitchen staff can't put out two of the simplest menu items properly maybe it's time for a review of the back of house.

It was going to rain. I was starving. We could get a table inside. If all of these things are ever the case again, I still probably wouldn’t go back. They’ve got nice outdoor seating for people watching, but inside I just watched the dirty glasses pile up on the bar. Our server was friendly but slow. Food was slow, drinks were slow. I didn’t get a knife with my dinner. I had to walk over to the hostess stand to ask for one. I got schnitzel. It’s about impossible to cut with a fork. The schnitzel itself was good and the only reason they don’t get a two star review. The sides were bland and the gravy had an off taste. My sons pizza, plain cheese, wasn’t great either. All in all, this is a place for tourists and even if you are one, you can do better.

We ducked into Bier Markt for lunch during Winterlude. Our group of six was seated right away here. It wasn't empty, but the restaurant was less busy than we expected. Despite this, service was very slow. The beer menu is pretty good. The food menu is not large, and our food had mixed reviews. We ordered the cauliflower bites, which were legitimately tasty. We also ordered the big pretzel, which was actually two pretzels! We thought the pretzel was nothing special, but we liked the mustard that it came with. It just needed more mustard. Overall, this place was uninspired but fine. It would've been better if the service had been more on the ball and if the individual meals hadn't come at random intervals over the course of 5-10 minutes.

I travelled from Sydney to visit Canada for the first time. After experiencing the beauty, majestic scenes, and unbelievably friendly people of Vancouver, Whistler, Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise and Montreal, I can honestly say that nothing could have prepared me for the extraordinary experience of Bier Markt in Ottawa! Our server, Sabrina, has been outstanding. With a warm embrace, she guided us through the extensive menu to arrive at the perfect meal that more than satisfied all tastes, likes and cravings. Her knowledge of the phenomenal range of beers was second to none. And the friendly service offered an extraordinary customer experience that has absolutely made our trip across the globe not only worth it but deserving of a return.

I had a good experience at Bier Market. The service was top-notch; our attentive servers made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. The drink selection was impressive, with each brew we tried proving to be wonderfully flavorful and refreshing. Despite visiting on a busy Friday night, I was pleasantly surprised by the short wait time. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, making for an enjoyable dining experience. While the food leaned towards the oily and fatty side, it was still tasty and satisfying, complementing the excellent beverages perfectly. All in all, the Bier Market is a fantastic spot for a casual and enjoyable night out.
