Queen St. Fare is a conveniently located in downtown Ottawa in the Sunlife financial center.
The hours of operation are a bit everywhere. Let me explain, we went for a late lunch (3 pm) and found that many of the vendors had already closed up. Opening up again later in the evening. We found Capitol Burger open to enjoy great food and service.
Everything was clean and well though off. They even have a corner with water and glasses for those who are thirsty. The bathroom were very clean.
They have live music and events. I would suggest looking up their social networks or webpage to see the full schedule. Also, keep in mind they don't do reservations. Arrive early and set some places aside. Parking is limited during the week but free on weekends at the World Exchange Plaza.
Again, really enjoyed my experience at Queen St Fare. The food was delicious (Capitol Burger), the decor was great, it was comfortable, and I would most definitely recommend for a quick lunch or a night in the town. They even offer brunches during the weekend.
Read moreThis place is pretty good, since I work in the building as security I have tried the burgers from capital burger and the pizza place that I forgot the name of. So far I have tried capital burger which has very good burgers and fries. Capital Burger makes their burgers in a unique way, if you ask for like a cheeseburger they will use two patties to make one big burger, and their fries are very nice and crispy. The people at Capital Burger are friendly and we'll staffed, so if you are wanting to try something different from all of the fast food burger joints I do recommend Burger. On the other hand the pizza joint is pretty good. The pros of eating at this pizza place is that they make their pizzas with fresh ingredients, but the cons are the crush you can only get pizza in thin crust, for me personally I only like pizza with thick crusts. I will be making another review when I have tried all of the restaurants at Queen Street Fare but so far I do recommend. Also to add the environment is nice and peaceful if you...
Read moreHaving been to QSF a number of times and enjoying the ambiance and food, I suggested to a friend that we meet there to eat and hang out and chat at our lunch time. I brought my own food, and he bought a pizza from Fiazza (10/10 pizza, btw). Totally fine! But there's some bouncer looking dude who will give attitude to anyone who brought their own food to this space, and tell them that they're "undermining our whole profit thing here". I understand that it's a food court space, however it's also the middle of winter and not everyone who wants to eat away from their offices will want to pay money (that they may not be able to spare, in this economy), just to be able to sit somewhere to eat un-harassed. Even though the food is amazing, I will never go back here now. It was beyond frustrating to see him hovering around tables looking for someone to give attitude to, around a bunch of people who are just trying to enjoy their lunch hour...
