Disappointing Customer Service!

I visited this Bulk Barn location around 8:20 PM, well before closing, to buy a few different nut butters. There were no spoons, so I asked a staff member for four. He went to get them but started complaining to a colleague, who loudly said, “Four?! OMG really?? Now??” – as if I wasn’t right there. It was rude and uncalled for.

I stayed polite and even tried to help by cleaning a spoon, but she came over again, speaking harshly and telling me to just leave it. I finally said I could just leave and not buy anything, and told her I heard everything – there was no need for that kind of attitude. She continued muttering and complaining under her breath as she walked away.

Refused entry! After working on the front lines since the pandemic started, I was looking forward to restocking my pantry, only to be harassed and refused entry at your store. I arrived with a face cover and wearing gloves, but apparently they were not up to your employees standards. As a front line worker, I can assure you that the protocols that I have been implementing since the beginning of March meet or exceed the highest standards. The staff was terribly rude and low key racist. Extremely unhygienic. When we asked for sampling the dry fruits, the lady was mopping the floor and came to help us without gloves or any sort of sanitary measures. Even during billing the cashier was extremely unpleasant and was constantly giving us nasty looks because we took a little while to bag our items. She went and stood near the door, opening it indicating us to leave, as if that's going to make us go any faster. Horrible experience.
