My first-time at Five Guys...this place impressed me! I thought it was just going to be another burger joint that's overpriced, BOY WAS I WRONG! I didn't know what to order so I asked the cashier, he was so nice and took the time to explain to me the difference between a Cheeseburger and a Little Cheeseburger. I got the Cheeseburger and Bacon Cheeseburger, large fries, and large drink. I thought it was just going to be a normal size burger, AGAIN...I WAS WRONG! The burgers were HUGE! One of the regular size burger is MORE THAN ENOUGH! Just like it was advertised, as much peanuts as you want and you get an extra scoop of fries into your takeaway bag! IT WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH! The burgers were FANTASTIC! Made to order right on the grill, excellent beef, fresh toppings, not expensive at all, for the portions you get, it's value in today's economy! The conductor of the kitchen, the girl in blonde with glasses, WOW....she was amazing, I watched her direct the kitchen by politely shouting out orders, I don't know if all Five Guys are like this but SHE WAS IMPRESSIVE! She's a super polite/nice version of Gordon Ramsey! Whoever hired her, that was the BEST DECISION for this location! This location is definitely a standard for any other burger joints and restaurants to follow! The food was sooo good, the service was sooo good, the wait time for your food was not long at all, lots of seating inside, lots of parking up front...I watched people go in here every few minutes, the Thai Express next door will be out of business in no time! Very satisfied, I will definitely be back! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone that's...

I did not get my order, and left hungry and displeased.
I was really looking forward to trying the poutine, and drove up minutes before they close. It was just after I finished work in the area, all I had was a few min to get there, not because I planned to get there at 9:58. I don't care if you close at 10, if you see a customer outside, you will welcome them in. I could have driven up with 5 other friends, who also would have left hungry and unsatisfied!
The girl inside was walking up to the door as I was about to pull the handle and walk inside. I paused because I thought she was going to let me in. Wrong. She simply locked the door and walked away. I said, "well thanks..!"to nobody and, maybe she heard me, because she looked back but didn't come back. I'm just an average caucasian female, not a shady character lurking around at 10pm ....geez
I stood outside for a minute before I went back to my car. I thought maybe the other staff inside would see someone, and re open the door. Only after I turned on my car, did they notice the car lights, and another girl behind the counter started yelling something to the girl who locked the door. A bunch of employees gathered around and were looking back at the door, pointing, and ..laughing. Oh, how that made me happy. Definitely, customers are the LAST priority here. Keep that in mind folks. You will be eating food that they curse, because they don't really care about who of you wants what.
My first experience visiting five guys was highly disappointing. The hype is not...

The team was super friendly, food was ready fast and it was delicious. If you've never been here and enjoy burgers, i highly recommend coming here at least once. There are many topping choices, but "all the way" is a standard and it's really a good start.
If you've never ordered here, be warned, the standard burger comes with two patties. It's a lot of burger. You might think it's expensive, but a double quarter pounder with bacon and cheese from McDonald's is $11.50+. Here an equivalent burger is $10 AND you get all the toppings you want. No nickle and diming for extra lettuce, tomato, pickles, A1 sauce, etcetera. Ask for loads of pickles and you'll get loads of pickles. Just be aware that the beef juice from the sandwich mixed with topping sauces can make the burger a little messy. Don't remove it from the wrapper unless you've checked for how drippy it is.
If you order a small fry, it's bigger than a small fry you'll get from anywhere else. Probably twice as much, easily. I've never had a problem getting a small to share between two people. The fries are crispy and delicious, made fresh. There's a sign that even tells you which town and type of potato they're using that day. It's phenomenal.
This is the only place I've eaten at in Ontario that makes a poutine with squeaky cheese curds. That is some delicious, fresh cheese. They have all very good elements of a very good poutine, it's just not my favourite gravy type (fairly light) and not my favourite fry type (too crispy)...
