Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Ottawa

First time there, no reason to go back.

The service was awful and the food was smushed and leaked everywhere in the takeout bag.

The girl who was serving us was incredibly rude, I even had to tell her to please give us a break as it was our first time and we don't know the products or the restaurant. She was overly annoyed, and rushing me the whole time.

As I was remembering what to include in one of the bowls I was ordering for someone else, I asked for burrito sauce. Instead of offering an alternative, explaining they dont have that, she rudely asked me "what even is burrito sauce?'

When I was made to feel dumb enough, I gave up and decided just to stop asking questions and adding our toppings.

The employee then moved on to help the next person in line with a huge smile and welcoming, friendly tone - of course the next person in line was another staff member.

$60 meal for 3 people - definitely not worth it!

You really should have name tags to ensure accountability, some of the staff was nice, but this one girl single handedly ruined...

was very excited this opened as other location are so far from me. this is now the closest one despite me not living in barhaven. sadly, I spent 60$ last night on two DOUBLE protein steak bowls and every single piece of steak in my bowl was horrific. most fully raw & others tough and unchewable. i nearly broke my jaw trying to chew it. not even exagerating. my guess is the man who sliced it did not cut it against the grain properly hence it was unedible. i had to remove all the steak out the bowl which was expensive and ate a fully vegetarian one instead. what a shame. not only this but the woman looked at me rudely when i asked for more than the tiny spoon of queso she put on my bowl barely adding another drop ontop so bowl was dry. hope you guys train your staff to cook and cut steak properly moving forward !! i never had this issue at...

Brand new location so it's clean and modern. Unfortunately that's where the good stuff stops.

The food is not amazing, but not bad either. It's just bland. GF bought the burrito bowl, I got the tacos. I tried both and they're really nothing to write home about.

The pulled pork is a slush of oil and damp meat. The burrito bowl is packed with black beans and undercooked rice. Not many selections of toppings and sauce. Mexican food is supposed to be flavorful and exciting to eat.

The staff seem like they are tired, uninterested, hate their lives, have attitude or all of the above.

All this for a grand total of $38 for two small entrées.

There are other Mexican food locations with real tasty and flavorful food for cheaper.

I don't understand the hype of this location. Bland food and service should have bland...
