The Original Souvlaki — Restaurant in Ottawa

We came here because we heard it was the best in ottawa. The owner is very kind and welcoming. We had tried the chicken souvlaki plate, gyro wrap and the Opa Fries. The chicken was seasoned and grilled to perfection, tender and juicy. The rice was really good and the salad was very refreshing overall 10/10. The gyro wrap was packed with gyro meat, fresh veggies, fries and tzatziki personally i would give it 7/10 however but that based on my taste buds not a big gyro person but if you are def give it a try. Lastly the Opa Fries, let me tell you you can automatically tell the the tzatziki they serve is house made, so full of flavor and if you like garlic you will love there tzatziki. It leaves the taste in your mouth for hours, personally i loved the Opa fries, homade fries loaded with amazing homemade tzaztiki (sooo good). There are 5 or 6 tables with benches to sit and enjoy your food. If your used to jimmy the greek or greek on wheels this place is def a step up on punch of flavor and taste of homemade authentic greek. The Greek food here is amazing. The quality is so authentic and fresh. I got the souvlaki platter after my hair appointment and as soon as I got home I just dug right in - totally forgetting to take a picture because it looked and tasted so good. When I got home I told my roommate about it and he said he had gone there another day and got the souvlaki wrap and it was amazing. My hairdresser had tried the platter and a gyro and loved both, which made me confident to finally try it, and I was not disappointed.

The gentleman working there I assume is the owner was super funny and friendly and even rang the bell for me for my first order, which made the experience fun. Everyone in line had been there before and reassured me on how good it was, which was true. I highly recommend going even if you think you don’t like Greek food.

Next time I go, I will definitely take a picture of the entire meal before I start digging in, I will attach the picture and update this review since I am very big on adding pictures...

Hands down best quality food truck in Ottawa and believe me, I've tried most of them. I would eat here every day if I could. Chicken was perfectly marinated and grilled. Beef was full of flavor and melting in your mouth! Greek salad was fresh,( no mix greens ready bought salad here) with quality feta cheese and an amazing olive oil dressing! Their tzatziki sauce is homemade and just perfect! Spanakopita omg, out of this world! Very affordable place for the large quantity and superior quality of their dishes compared to most store fronts these days. The staff is cheerful, kind and they know what they're doing!
