CreekSide Bar & Grill Manotick — Restaurant in Ottawa

I live in the Centrepointe, however I ended up here for breakfast due to work and my desire to support local businesses. Right off the bat, I should mention I m a turban wearing Sikh guy. Although, this place is only 20 mins away from Ottawa, I felt like I walked into a joint in a western classic, because of the stares and looks. Nothing I'm not used to when travelling though Canada through rural communities, but 20 mins from Ottawa, that's new. This is Pierre Poilievre's riding, but I guess having Tim Uppal in background on parliament is not doing much. Anyways, that was the atmosphere. Now to the service, I ordered Monotick Benedict. It came with everything promised except the promised English muffin, but they made up for it with a strand of grey hair. I got 1st serving of bottomless coffee but then the waitress just walked by me with coffee for everyone else except me. When she brought the bill, I turned my cup upside down to show it's empty, she then asked me if I wanted coffee. I told her that, it's too late now, I have to go to work. I understand that businesses can't control how customers treat each other, but when table next to me with 3 white older men are getting their coffee filled up, and I'm sitting there feeling like an idiot for coming here, I doesn't make me feel like tipping. I paid for the food, even with the hair and was planning to tip because accidents happen. However, my heart hit rock bottom as I meditated on the bottom of my coffee cup. Btw, was on a slow Monday morning, with maybe 10 people in there, on 5 tables. This event cemented my decision not to practice medicine in Manotick. I don't need my kids growing around this...

Today when we decided to try out this establishment I was hoping the negative reviews were just a few disgruntled customers....was I wrong the female greeter at the door seemed a little inexperienced and out of it .... we were seated on the "bar side " for breakfast. I had the hungry mans breakfast and gf had eggs benedict w/asparagus. Coffee was very weak,waitress was attentive at first then I guess got over whelmed by the other patrons more staff was needed on this side.The wait time for food was pretty quick out of the kitchen gf's order was spot on but mine was missing all the meat but the server caught the error just before putting it on the table.That should have been caught by the kitchen staff had they cared my bacon was cool and kind of hard which was odd. We both ate and expected coffee refills but again everbody around us ALL the tables got refills but us no biggie since the coffee was more like coloured water,we just decided to pay and leave to get on with our day .....nope too easy ! despite seeing we wanted to pay and leave it seemed that we were still not a high priority with our server after waiting and waiting my gf went out to the car unhappy ,I stayed finally the bill was brought to me @ which point I mentioned debit the server brought me the debit machine after a long wait I finally paid my bill and left. The owners/manager should really read these reviews and and fix these issues since this is a re-occuring issue seems like most of the staff need a good shaping up or it will not be long before they end up closed. We will not be returning or referring anyone to this...

I wish I could give zero stars... worst restaurant ever... The service received was horrendous.. We ordered all our meals (including apps) ... We firstly received our salads which were standard but I'll say tasty. Our apps finally arrived after I'd say 20 mins.... My friends flatbread was soggy and undercooked. My calamari was undercooked (chewy)... as we ate our apps, my other friend and her bf didn't receive theirs... when we finally saw our waitress again (never once came to our table to ask how things were or if we needed anything).... He asked her about his appetizer.. The waitress snapped at him saying "If you just give me a minute!" A few mins pass.... she comes out with another waitress bringing my friends appetizer along with all the main courses... I will say... the main courses were okay minus my one friend got a chicken melt and asked for no mushrooms which they added... My burger tasted well and sweet potato fries... my other friend and her husband shared a club which they enjoyed. My friend's bf had fish and chips. He said the fish was soggy but alright otherwise... We finished our meals and drinks...waiting to see the waitress again to get our bills...she again ignores our table going elsewhere till my friend had to signal her. She brought the bills... they were all wrong...we told her calmly which all of us ordered...she came back again with all mixed up bills... there was only 5 of us at a table.... she requested us to the bar to do the bills... my one friend who has prior work experience in owning a restaurant did our bills for us... Again not impressed and would...
