BBQ Duck Perfection and Warm Hospitality If you’re a fan of authentic Cantonese cuisine, this spot is an absolute must-try. The food is outstanding — rich in flavor, expertly prepared, and clearly made with care. The standout dish for me was the BBQ duck. It was nothing short of spectacular: tender and juicy on the inside, with a perfectly crispy, golden-brown skin that crackled with every bite. The seasoning struck a beautiful balance between savory and sweet, and the subtle but unmistakable hint of preserved orange peel elevated the dish to a whole new level — a true nod to traditional Cantonese delicacy. The staff here are warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, service was seamless and genuinely friendly. The only downside? The floor was noticeably slippery, which made walking around a bit uncomfortable. A little more attention to cleanliness in that regard would go a long way. That said, parking is a breeze — plenty of free spots in the mall lot and off-street options nearby. All in all, a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend! P.S. Don’t let the older or mediocre reviews fool you — whether it’s new ownership or just hitting their stride, this place truly delivers when it comes to delicious, comforting Cantonese food. I’d give it a solid 4.7, not perfect, but pretty close, with small areas for improvement. 😊

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am completely disgusted with the quality of their food! We placed an order through skip the dishes last night for dinner. It only took about 30 minutes or so before our food arrived. As we brought our food to the dinner table, we could already tell something was wrong as there was green slimy liquid with a rotten odour to it, dripping from one of the bags. We ordered a large order of the green onion chicken, calamari, garlic butter fries, and 5 pop drinks. As we took everything out of the bag and took a look at the sliced onions (which are usually fresh, crunchy and finely sliced), we realized that, that was where the green slimy liquid was coming from. It stunk as if it were sitting there for weeks and looked as if someone boiled them to gush! The calamari was so soggy and that’s not even the last of it! As we were tearing pieces of chicken apart for our kids to eat, we noticed a long piece of hair coming from it!!! It was deep fried into the batter and just absolutely disgusting! Check your food thoroughly before eating here!

One of the worst restaurants in Ottawa, we went to this restaurant yesterday @8pm, when we sit down and ready to order the waitress said they only have fried stuff( Fried chicken or fries) and they had no soup or other dishes.(they close at 9:30pm) so we ordered a dinner combo and it should come with 4 bottle of beer/liquors. But the waitress said that she couldn’t handle any alcohol cause she is under 19(I understand that is the law but why not notify us before we start to order???) . Okay, we gave up the idea about having some soup and beer and ordered two fired chicken. The food were disgusting(compare with the one on Elgin St.) ,no free appetizer (the pickled radish and sweet corn) and the waitress didn’t even give us a plate to eat!! Will not come back and I want to tell the owner of this restaurant please do not treat your costumer like this unless you do not care about your business.

Great fried chicken. Warning: the spicy chicken in sauce is overpowering. Do not order if you don't like spicy food or can't handle really spicy food. The prices are above average, and rightly so, this isn't fast food or a full service restaurant. The staff are friendly and courteous. I read a few other reviews here and I can't help but laugh at some of the entries... you came all the way from Orleans(45 mins away) right before close to get food? If it's past 9pm, just go to a big box fast food chain. Price wise, the food quality is better, and the cuisine is different, hence the higher prices. For two, with two main dishes (which we couldn't finish and took home in a doggy bag), it was around 35-40$. They serve some small appetizers with your order, which are free. The pickled radish is tasty. If the restaurant is packed, expect a wait, as it's a smaller location in Ottawa, and in a bedroom/commuter community. Pretty much everything shuts down at 9pm. This isn't New...
