I have been meaning to post this review for sometime now. I went to this location with my partner and two friends on May 21st, 2022. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time and ordered appetizers and drinks. The food itself was good and the wait was short. Our server did not return to the table to check on us, which would not have been an issue except for what happened when we tried to get our bills to pay. We asked for our bills to be separate (each couple paying for what we ordered) and he returned with a single check. We asked again that he give us seperate checks so we could pay for what we ordered. He returned with two checks; this time he had split every single item and put half on each check. We asked him to correct it. He hesitated and we repeated that just wanted to pay for what we had ordered. He returned and the checks were incorrect again. We called the server back over and he stated that some things had been left off so these checks were âless than they should beâ and when we told him what should go on each check, he said âwell, itâs going to be more than it started this way.â The implication was that we should just be quiet and pay the bill. At no point did we ever ask to have anything comped from our checks, so we did not understand why he leave some of our drinks off the bill. He returned with the checks and they were the same checks. My partner was becoming frustrated. As the server was walking away, my partner said âjust charge us for what we ordered.â He then asked me to deal with the check so he could go outside and calm down. Just as the server returned my partner said âIâm going to-â and before he could say âgo outside for a momentâ the server shouted in his face. My partner shouted back, which was obviously not the best strategy, but we had been dealing with this for 10-15 minutes. If the server had taken a moment to clarify what went on each bill instead of dropping the checks and the debit machine and walking away repeatedly, we could have resolved the issue easily. The manager came over and sorted the checks and we paid our bills. When my partner asked for the serverâs name so we could make a complaint, the manager said there was no point complaining because it would come to him anyway. As we walked out, the server watched us leave with a smirk on his face. I was hesitant to post this review as the manager had already told us complaining is pointless, but as a person with anxiety I donât go out often and this incident ruined an...
Read moreI come to this location quite often but today was by far the worst experience I ever had. The overall food taste was not bad ânot as usual thoughâ but the service was bad. We were a group of four moms and four kids, we ordered our meals and the food came after a while with a small mistake which was all fine. The server was ok but she was not the best. The problem started with the fact that she came Over after we almost finished eating and asked if she can issue us the checks as she needed to leave. We said itâs fine but we still need the dessert for the kids. I canât describe how she was acting since that moment, She was rushing us to finish with out even taking out our plates and clearing the table which is usually the standard act in all restaurants, she brought the dessert to the kids while asking as to pay without even clearing any space in the table for the kids to eat freely. We wanted to have coffee but because she was just rushing us to pay so she can close her table we could not. So we ended up saying that we still want 3 coffee and we can pay later through another server, so she ended up bringing 4 coffee and she litterly dropped them at table and spilled the coffee and did not even care, we said that we only ordered 3 so she took that forth one away quickly and rudely. I understand that she might be late for something but itâs a management issue that they force the employees to stay beyond their shift not the customer problem. This happened around 9 pm while the restaurant is still open for at least another two hours and there are 3-4 other servers available. I donât understand why would she rushed us to pay when we didnât not even express that we are done and want to leave. She made us quite uncomfortable during our stay and ruined the...
Read moreWe went to Kelseys on the Monday night after Mother's Day to avoid the Mother's Day crowds. That worked out perfectly as there were no crowds and we were able to be seated right away
Our server was fantastic. He had a good sense of humour about him and was very attentive to our needs. My wife had the Thai Chicken Curry Bowl, while I had the 8 oz Classic Sirloin with Shrimp
I'm not a curry fan, but my wife tells me that her Thai Chicken was excellent. My Shrimp was also excellent, but I felt the Sirloin fell a bit short of the mark. Though it was perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned, my beef was somewhat "sinewey" which, unfortunately, spoiled the enjoyment somewhat
I thought the room temperature was just perfect, but my wife wished the room was a little warmed. As the size of our entrĂŠes was just right, we ordered desert. Because my wife wanted to be a bit warmer, she ordered the Lava Cake, while I ordered the Butterfinger Ice Cream Cake. We both enjoyed our desserts tremendously
About a month earlier, I visited the same Kelseys for lunch (not reviewed). I enjoyed the background music much more at this earlier visit than last night. On the first visit, the music was more sedate and did not interfere with conversation; whereas, at times last night, we had to repeat things more than once in order to be heard. Also, as you can see in the attached photos, the direct overhead lighting can make for a lot of shadows
The restaurant entrance is fully accessible, with wide, powered doors. There is no dedicated parking for the restaurant, but there is generally plenty of street and other nearby...
