Gabriel Pizza — Restaurant in Ottawa

Very unsatisfied with the service I was given. After receiving my pizza, I realized there was cheese on it which I didn't think the pizza I ordered had cheese because no where on the menu did it specify that and my order said bbg base so I assumed that was an alternative to the regular tomato sauce and cheese base. I am highly allergic to cheese and could not even eat the pizza. I called back and spoke to a supervisor who acted as if I was lying about being lactose intolerant and only said I had to reorder and pay again for another pizza even though I would not be able to eat the original pizza I paid for. I even offered to return the original pizza as proof that I wasn't lying and really just couldn't eat the pizza. When they refused I asked what I was suppose to do with the original pizza and the supervisor said, "I don't know, give it away?". The supervisor was extremely patronizing and constantly spoke over me when I was explaining my situation and constantly throwing in, "It's a pizza place, what do you expect?". I have ordered from other pizza places where they specify when cheese is on the pizza, and if it is not specified, then cheese does not come on the pizza. I still ended up returning the original pizza. After reading your satisfactory policy, I was even more upset because I wasn't satisfied with my order, and there was no good customer service experience. I am extremely disappointed in my experience and how I was treated. For a pizza place that states there satisfactory policy on the website, but does not follow it when a customer actually calls in, is very disappointing and bad business. I will not be ordering from here ever again and will make sure to let the rest of my friends and family throughout Ottawa...

I am a new tenant in the building across from Gabriel Pizza and wanted to check out your location on Rideau Street around 2 PM. When I entered, I waited for about five minutes and had to keep knocking to get the attention of the employee working there. Unfortunately, he spoke to me in a very rude manner. I asked if the pizza slices were fresh, and he bluntly told me to go to Pizza Pizza because they have fresh slices there. I explained that I didn’t want to go there and asked if he could just make me a fresh small pizza. He became visibly angry, seemingly upset that I asked him to make a pizza since he was sitting down and didn’t want to work. After this, I asked him to cancel my order. Additionally, I noticed his nails were very dirty, and his long hair was unkempt and spread over his shirt. It was hard for me to understand how anyone could feel comfortable eating food prepared under those conditions. Because of this experience, I have decided not to try Gabriel Pizza at all. This was a very disappointing and off-putting introduction...

Don't order from this location. We ordered two, 3 toppings pizzas on a Thursday night. When they arrived, we noticed one had the wrong toppings - one of the toppings ordered was replaced by a very generous amount of a topping I dislike. Mistakes happen, so ee called and the woman from Customer Service was very helpful and understanding and said she would place an express order for the correct pizza that should arrive in 30 minutes or so. 35 min after that call, the rideau location called, aggressivly claiming they didn't belive us and asking for a picture, which I had offered to send when I first called. We eventually got our pizza, but we will make sure our takeout orders come from another Gabriel's...
