Happy Goat Coffee Co. (Rideau/Cumberland) — Restaurant in Ottawa

We stopped by Happy Goat Coffee Company for a quick caffeine fix after lunch. The café has a pleasant vibe with unique decor, ample seating, and bar stools along the window, which makes for a nice spot to relax or people watch.

We ordered a dirty chai and a cappuccino. The staff mentioned that the dirty chai, a chai tea with I believe a shot of espresso, was one of their popular drinks, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. It arrived lukewarm, which affected the overall experience, and we couldn’t really detect any espresso flavor. It mostly tasted like a standard chai latte. The cappuccino was fine but fairly average.

While the space itself is inviting and the service was friendly, the drinks didn’t stand out. If I find myself back in the area, I’d likely explore another coffee spot to see what else...

Ok today I have gone to this store again for my favs. But I wanted to do a prank on the people that were there and slap my hands on the counter very loudly. However, in the process of doing that I unwittingly made 1 barista cry. :( Sadly i did not know that this would happen. however it did not change anything as the young lady proceeded to tell that she was "in the spectrum". So being that was the case, I personally did not know what that meant, until I googled it. SO that said I want to make a public apology to this young lady and make sure everyone knows that she, as always, provides great service with a smile and always greeting me with an anxious heart to serve. My family and I were willing to have a nice breakfast in a nice place. We thought we would have a good experience at Happy Goat Coffee. However, when we got the order it was completely different than what we paid for. When I told the manager that it wasn’t my order, he started to freaking out. The new employee was going to correct the order. The manager mistreated the new hire and through the coffee on the counter. He disrespected myself, my husband, and his employee. This person shouldn’t have any job related with customer service.
