We ordered the following items: Chat papdi 2/10 - Too much Jal Jira and the yogurt felt like it was 10% Dahi 90% Water Veg Manchurian: 5/10 - Decent but not the authentic Indo-Chinese taste Paneer Lababdaar: 4/10 - below decent | the gravy was not thick at all, not good enough Shahi Paneer: 0/10 - just water with some spices, horrible taste Garlic Naan 7/10 - Decent Complimentary veg soup -2/10 - just had a sip and it was clear that it wasnāt even a soup
We are traveling from Toronto and just went with this restaurant because of the Google reviews, donāt know if it was because of the rush of the long weekend that made it all go sideways or if itās the usual food quality but after spending close to 100 Bucks we basically could only eat 30% of the food and the rest had to be garbaged. But we had a horrible experience and I would advise against ordering from here just going from the Goole Reviews!
The worst thing is that even after calling them and letting them know how our experience was, we were just given the sorry excuse that it must have been the butter.
I've eaten enough Indian food to know the difference between authentic Indian gravy with butter and just some water with some spices.
In a nutshell, horrible experience, please stay away from this place. On top of below mediocre food, they don't even understand customer service.
That's my rant, thanks for reading, and good luck people.
Edit: I didnāt realize my friend had already posted a review for the same order already. We have deleted my friendās review. Please donāt take it out of context, weāre not trying to target you, we are not local and we donāt have an agenda against you, it was just our honest opinion. I understand that you are a new business and we never wanted a full refund in the first place, we didnāt even ask for a refund on the call either. Low key ignoring our comments/complaints over the call and responding to our Google Reviews to protect your public image and making us look like bad guys is not nice either.
I am not saying we didnāt eat anything, we did eat some of it and as I mentioned above some items were decent enough for me(personally). Taking a full refund would not be fair to you; just like the mediocre food and bad custom service were not fair to us. But an offer to refund at least 30% or 50% of the total order on call or some kind of other offer to make up for today would have been/would be nice.
Some friendly advice for the future: Instead of low key making your customers look like bad guys, focusing on customer service and responding in a kindly manner is going to take you a long way. Best of luck, we wish nothing but the best to you and your business....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never review anything, but the experience I had at this restaurant was so transformational I had to cook this review up. My friends and I were stranded and starving when we stumbled across this place on Google Maps. We were just relieved to find something nearby that was halal.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were surprised by how nice the dine-in atmosphere was, thatās when we knew we made the right decision. We were greeted by an incredibly kind lady who made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Since we were totally clueless about Indian food, we asked for her recommendations, and she suggested the chicken tikka masala, which was just šš. The mango lassi, garlic naan, side pickles and Indo-Chinese dishes were also amazing.
Even when we felt like our stomachs were about to explode, we licked those plates clean. And just when we thought it couldnāt get any better, they hit us with complimentary dessert.
Iām so glad we found this restaurant on that dark, cold night, it felt like the warm embrace of a motherās hug. Also i appreciate that the place closes at 2 am in a country where everything closes at 9 pm at best š....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered Chilli Paneer and Samosa Chat from a local restaurant, but both items were not at all good in taste and, frankly, barely edible. It's rare for me to write a negative review, but this experience was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share my thoughts. Chilli Paneer: The Chilli Paneer was nothing like what I had expected. It lacked the flavor and the punch that this dish is supposed to have. The paneer pieces were tough, and the batter tasted as if it had been sitting around for a while. The gravy was overly sweet, with barely a hint of spice. 2. Samosa Chat: The Samosa Chat was equally underwhelming. The samosas themselves were soggy and seemed reheated, losing their crispy texture. The chana masala lacked the depth of flavor and spices that make this dish special. Both dishes arrived in a somewhat messy state, which did not add to the overall appeal. I genuinely hope they can take this feedback into account to improve their offerings. As for the Chilli Paneer and Samosa Chat, I would strongly advise against ordering these items until there's a noticeable improvement in taste...
