Innes Chip Wagon — Restaurant in Ottawa

My fiancé is pregnant.. Its Sunday afternoon and we’re about to drive home from Starbucks when all of a sudden she gets the sudden urge to eat chip wagon fries! Thankfully there was a chip wagon one parking lot over from the Starbucks.. so we go check it out. Much to our surprise and dismay it’s closed. Now I’m scared.. if I can’t come up with a solution there’s gonna be trouble. A hungry pregnant fiancé always means business and I wasn’t about to find out the repercussions I was potentially facing.. So I google chip trucks near me and Lam’s on Innes comes up first on the list.. We get there and order poutine with low expectations.. The poutine turns out to be amazing... Their fries are made to golden perfection and the gravy they use is far from sub par. We were very impressed by the quality of their food and the outstanding customer service as well. Hot summer day in Ottawa so I've obviously gotta try a fry truck I haven't tried before. They just opened so service was very fast, two picnic tables with umbrellas we were able to sit at.

The Hot Dog was nothing special but in this economy it's fine. We are here to talk about the Poutine.

The fries were fantastic, cheese curds were very good but the gravy was lacking for me just a little. But this is personal taste. It is still a serviceable poutine for me and I did very much enjoy it and would recommend it. If you're looking for a chip truck poutine.

Also just a note - for someone who doesn't eat a lot - the small size was just right. If sharing between two/three people I'm sure a large would be enough. Or two people with small stomachs could share a medium. Depends on everyone's stomach capacity.

I've been here multiple times already and have decent to rewrite this review.

Went in multiple times and every time I go the fries are nice golden and crispy. The portions are big, especially for a small fry. Take your McDonald small fry and multiply it by at least 4, that's what you get in a small fry here, for only 3.75! Hotdog, pogo, everything is good and nicely dressed with condiments. Everyone I've told loves it too They also serve vegetable rolls, typically 6 for 4$, (picture shows only 3, I'll let you decide where the other 3 went) and they are very good, sauce included

One last touch, the lady working there is amazing, she is caring and has great nice...
