DELIVERY ORDER
If you have a large order that you're thinking of placing for your office party, I'd suggest you choose another restaurant, not only is the restaurant unable to fulfill an order correctly, their call center taking the large orders will also cause a headache.
I placed my order online 5 days in advance, first one went through, second one didn't. I tried contacting the restaurant when they first opened and before their lunch rush to confirm - no answer. Contacted the help desk, they advised the first order went through and the second would need to be placed again, fine, we did. I get a call 2 days later, confirming the first order again, apparently SS needed to correct the order on their side, fine, mind your this was now on a weekend. The second order needed to be placed AGAIN - I'm advised that the second order would need to be paid either at the door or in store. The following Monday I went into the store to pay, they advised they didn't have the order... fine, I provided them the order number and payment, I'm assured they'll get it, it just wasn't "dispatched" yet, even though the first order was, and they were placed at the same time, twice.
Up on delivery, the driver was almost 30mins late - prior to this I called the restaurant to see where the driver was, no answer, so I called the call center, they could only say the order was dispatched, no other info, just call the restaurant.
We finally got the order, 3 orders had wrong sides, confirmed with our order confirmation that yes, the mistake was at the restaurant, we were also missing 3 side salads. Some order had baked potatoes which were missing from some meals, we found those missing baked potatoes with other orders, so some had fries and a baked potato, when they shouldn't have. So I get on the phone to call the restaurant for the missing items - no answer, why would I think they'd answer at this point. I'm not calling the call center either because what's the point.
Overall, not the greatest experience, especially when purchasing for work with limited time. I'm sure others have had better experiences, unfortunately...
Read moreWe have dined in this restaurant many times and have had delivery at least once every 10 days. Usually a great experience and never any complaints. On January 2 Monday we ordered on the telephone. The lady on the phone, took our order, and the total was $66.00 with tax, service fee etc. I told her I had a $10 Swiss chalet cash voucher. She took the serial number and said the order was $56.00 Our order arrived on time quoted and I had the correct money with the $10.00 voucher and a $8.00 tip for the driver. He informed me he was not allowed to take the voucher. I said the lady recorded the serial number and the dates were correct. He said nope, can’t take it. I replied I was not paying the $10 on principle. He said ok you don’t get your food, and left. I called the number I had ordered from and explained the story at least twice to a different order taker. She said she didn’t know why and she would connect me to customer service. Told my story again and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Was told she didn’t understand why he wouldn’t take it. She then said she would connect me to the store (Cyrville Rd) She also explained the order was cancelled but didn’t know who cancelled it, and it must have been me. So why did the order get delivered if I cancelled it? Once I was connected to the store, the girl couldn’t give me an answer and again told me the order was cancelled. I asked to speak to the store manager and was told he was busy. I was then disconnected. I called back and asked again for the manager and was told a supervisor would speak to me. After another 15 minutes, I was told the order would be redone and delivered. It was, the driver received no tip and the voucher was excepted. Same driver as first time, and when asked by my husband why he wouldn’t take it the first time he mumbled that it was a miscommunication. Anyway we will not be getting take out again and I might as, that at no time with any of the 5 people I communicated with did anyone apologize. All in all we received our order that was placed at 5:30 arrived around 7:30. Totally terrible...
Read moreHad dinner Swiss chalet. Festive meal an broccoli soup. Soup was good but not overly warm . The fries. Stuffing an bun was cold. My fries where stiff seemed like they sitting out for 2 hours. I complained to my waiter she she could get me more fries .she said she couldn't do anything with bill. Got a desert on house instead. My complaint about this is when you go to restaurant like this your expectations of nice warm meal is high. I have been trying this Swiss chalet 1899 cyrville rd periodically over last year and most of my visits was not impressed. One time I walked in was told I'll be with you in minute took 13 minutes they wasn't busy. Got seated no one came to serve us. Just took to long. I got up and left. Just really frustrated with this Swiss chalet. Not looking to be back . Lmao thinking back past winter was cold the restaurant was barely warm inside and the summer on other hand was warm . We had lunch there and the air conditioning was very poor. I'm passed being sorry. Once again went for dinner there ordered 2roast beef dinners on the take out side it took the kitchen 35 minutes to get our meals done our meals was missing the steamed vegetables one meal had more meat than the other. We waiting on the Harvey’s side and even the under pick up drivers was pissed off a few of them said they don’t like coming here for pick up. I was watching the manager he was yelling at his staff The restaurant did get busy and I’m sure a lot of customers waiting forever to get their dinner. Also the servers end up getting bad tips and develop attitude cause customers and kitchen This restaurant can do a lot better with more organized kitchen staff and manager. By the way we went to st huber got 2 meals in drive through in about 12 minutes Older people r still sending food back at this...
