The customer service is really bad, especially from the owner which is the older man. I hope it’s not a race issue, because if it is then it’s a huge problem. Also, I just bought soup and it tasted so bad.
Please take this comment seriously and improve, so we can come back again. Believe me sometimes it’s not about just the quality of the food, it’s mostly about the customer service and how welcoming you are.
Lastly, if we all paying high price, then we expect you to show generosity. I have been reading the comments below and some of them you said you take them seriously, didn’t really see that when I visited the restaurant. Please take this comment seriously this time and promise we will come back if you change.
The waitress (Brazilian lady) offered me if i want dine in or take out. I chose dine in but the older man saw me and talk to the waitress and told her not to serve me. This is not the first time I got treated that way. I said I want to give him a chance a few times but it has been getting worse in terms of customer service, that’s why I decided to write this review. There’s more stories happened to me in this restaurant but don’t want to share them all because I think this is enough for the older man to take this seriously and improve.
Thanks...
Read moreWe have been going to little Turkish Village for over 30 years and have always enjoyed the food and the service.
BUT ... I was INSULTED, on my last visit, by the expectation of a 20% tip! This amount is automatically added to your bill if the group is of eight or more guests. Even the debit card machine tells you how to tip: Minimum 15%, good service 20%.
A TIP (to insure promptness) is a gift ... not an expectation. The French call it pourboire or "have a drink on me." I am not opposed to tipping 20%, or even more, for truly exceptional service or if I feel the waiter/waitress could really use the money, but it is the EXPECTATION that is INSULTING.
Traditionally, the rule of thumb is: 0% = very poor service 10% = good service 15% = exceptional service
While I do not personally advocate the practice, waiters/waitresses should even expect a $0.01 tip on the credit card, for extremely rude service, to drive the message back to management.
The waiter/waitress should receive a tip of ANY amount with gratitude.
FYI ... A tip should not be on the tax amount but on the BEFORE tax (service) amount. All restaurants that use debit card machines are guilty of charging a percentage tip amount on the AFTER tax amount. This is why I always select the...
Read moreWent in for late lunch; we drove near half an hour to get to this place; thinking we will be delighted with real Turkish delights, instead the food was hardly edible, had no relationship with Turkish food neither in taste or look. We were basically served canned Humos and dolma, which were about the only thing edible at the place. The aubergine dish was soaked in vinegar rice was over cooked and probably had been frozen. The waitress was helpful and friendly, however the food was really, really just bad and very disappointing.
EDIT The owner response is laughable. This place WAS Turkish. The name is misleading to say the least. I encourage the NEW owner to change the food & rename the place to something he knows more about, because once you go though the goodwill build by previous owners; you will have no one to fool EDIT. The owner has been in touch with me; and apologized for the quality of the food we were served, he also has refunded the amount charged. The owner has explained; that this was unfortunate and they are doing their best during the pandamic, however sometimes things do happen; due to shortage of staff...
