Lokma (Orleans) — Restaurant in Ottawa

Updating my review based on giving this location a second chance. Taking it down to 1 star because of their customer service. They don't even deserve that star.

On our second visit to this place we opted for a milkshake. The customers that came after us were served first. The staff noticed that we had been waiting for a long time and inquired if everything was ok. When we pointed out we were waiting for our milkshake order that we had paid for, they then took another twenty minutes or so to get to our order. Everything was extremely mismanaged. We were visibly annoyed however didn't say anything. When they enquired again about why we looked so annoyed we told them that the wait time was extremely long for a simple order of milkshakes. They told us unapologetically that we shouldn't come again and that "the place wasn't for us. " This has never happened to us ever before. We were quite taken aback. If they are not willing to hear how their customers are feeling maybe don't ask but at least try to do better ! There was no need for them to even say that. Terrible customer service. Maybe they don't even want customers and are trying to go bust based on all previous recent reviews.

And that's right, for a place that doesn't know how to operate the business in an orderly manner let alone didn't even know how to handle their dissatisfied customers, we will definitely not be coming back again. Not worth the time or money. I've been to their Kanata location and I have nothing than appreciation for their service. This location, in Orleans, is by far the worst!

Taste of food was okay But overall experience was awful Sadly, I will never come back ever. Firstly, staff was extremely unfriendly and complained about their job the whole time we were there Secondly, no greeting was done Thirdly, worst of all, one employee was full on snacking on leftover crumbs of the dessert he was making and then without watching hands or changing gloves, proceeded to the next dessert Fourthly, we didn't have the correct number of lokmas in our box, and I was asked if that was okay; NO IT IS NOT but it had been already ~15mins and we didn't want to stay any longer

UPDATE - June 16, 2022: As can be seen; reply has been made to my review indicating to send an email to their company. I did and explained the situation and it's been a few days now and still nothing has been sent my way in any form of communication. Also can see that they have given other reviews a reply but does not take the time to reply to my email After I was instructed to do so "Customer satisfaction is very important to us" - or so they say..

Disappointed at the brand as a whole.

I went to Mr. Puffs today 3:07pm and I can honestly it is TEN TIMES better than lokmas at Orleans. Well this was the first and probably the last time I will be there. I decided to try this place out for the first time on July 8, 2021. I understand that during COVID times all restaurants are very but things at Lokma were unfortunately the worst I have seen. First off I would say the wait time is far too long for some fried dough. I ordered the 33 Lokma and waited for 15 mins without a word how long it would take, and orders were piling up from online and in person. The staff were not very well organized and seemed very overworked and frustrated, there were three of them but no sense organization whatsoever. Many of the ladies had long hair, which were in ponytails but they kept touching them and swinging them around, likely should be wearing hair nets in a place like this or have their hair out of customers food. At one point I even saw one of the employees lowering her mask and wiping what seemed to be sweat off her upper lip and then not even cleaning her hands. Yes it was hot and yes masks are uncomfortable but sanitary practices need to be considered. Lastly, I would say the Lokma were not even that tasty they were over fried and drenched in oil and too top it off the oil in the Lokma tasted old.
