I am a tourist here and was very excited to come here all week. During my last day here I was able to come - brought all my luggage - it is Easter weekend now so I came at 9am and the staff motioned that it opened at 10am. Arrived at 12pm with a few tables still available. I was greeted at the door immediately and seated (they let me choose my own seat so that's nice). But I was so disappointed at the atmosphere, I actually left without ordering anything because the staff behaviour was very uncomfortable.
The female staff was professional and seated and gave me a menu. I was waiting for them to come around, so went around to look at the beautiful display they had.
I heard the staff complaining loudly and crudely about people, swearing about them and such. This is an elegant place but without an elegant atmosphere. The staff are more casual than friendly and I went up to the counter to look at the pastries. I was ignored and the staff was facing me at proper spot to turn and ask me what I wanted to order, but was in such deep conversation, telling the waitress his opinions. He knew I was there but actually stepped around and moved away from me so he can keep talking to the waitress 'undisturbed'. His voice was so loud and the conversation wasn't appropriate for a customer facing counter. After waiting a while, ignored, I went back to my seat and then heard more ppl come in. They were instructed to go up to the counter as the servers won't come around to order. I even had to ask them for the wifi password, so I'm not sure why I didn't get similar treatment as them with instructions and additional welcome. It's a lovely place but the entire time I heard the male staff swearing and complaining about people. The environment wasn't zen at all and I just didn't want to stay there anymore with that type of negativity and gossip. The display was nice but there was another counter empty with shears and maintenance boxes in view, like a flower warehouse. So half the store is beautiful and the other half's atmosphere leaves more to be desired.

You cannot help but admire the beautiful pink flowers at the outside entrance and it just draws you in. The inside aesthetic is every girly girls dream. It's THE SPOT in Ottawa. The staff are very courteous and attentive to customers. It is very popular, and when my friend and I came in there was a line around brunch time. This speaks volumes because everyone wants to experience this luxurious flower cafe. If you want to enjoy without much wait, then I suggest you go early or go late afternoon to avoid the line. They serve so many delicious things. Since it was my first time, I wanted to experience the creme de la creme. We ordered "high tea" which consisted of your choice of sandwiches, your choice of pastries, your choice of macarons, your choice of yogurt parfait in a martini glass and your choice of tea. The peach tea was so good that I purchased my own pack for home use. The turkey croissants sandwiches, made from scratch - to die for. As were the pastries, macarons and parfait. I mean every thing was on point. They also have an assortment of other desserts and fancy drinks that look amazing!! Michelle's signature flowers are for sale. This is a place you'll want to have your cute brunches with your girls, your family etc. OH The flower wall is so instagrammable! And even the washroom is super luxe decked out in pink and gold finishes. My goodness, Ottawa needed this and I'm so glad that Michelle followed her vision to expand her high end, luxury brand. Love this for you and love this for all of my future brunches and from time to time, I'll probably come and work on my business from the cafe! Will post...
