From the moment we stepped into Margarita's Latin Fusion Restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by Curtis, whose smile and kind greeting instantly made us feel at home. He guided us to our seats, offering us the choice of indoor or outdoor dining, and took the time to explain the menu since it was our first visit.
While we perused the menu, Curtis served us delicious chips and salsa, which were a perfect start. By the time we finished, our food arrived, fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated. Every bite was a delight!
Curtis's exceptional service and etiquette truly elevated our dining experience. His hospitality, courtesy, and attention to detail impressed us beyond words. It's rare to find such a perfect blend of great food and a welcoming atmosphere, and we left feeling fantastic, no bloating or food coma!
The drinks were equally impressive, especially the Rhumchata, which is a must-try even for those who don’t usually indulge.
Overall, our experience was heartwarming, and we can't recommend Margarita's enough. Everyone deserves to experience this gem at least once in their lifetime. We can't wait to return!
Wishing Curtis and the entire restaurant...

I first went to Margarita's a couple of months ago, and was thrilled that I had discovered a spot in Ottawa with delicious authentic Mexican cuisine - chilaquiles, mole, enchiladas, etc! I came back for dinner last night with a couple of friends, after raving to them about how great the food was, only to be extremely disappointed by the 'updated' menu. 90% latin fusion nonsense!
I understand that the owner is likely trying to make the menu more palatable to the local demographic. But Ottawa has plenty of mediocre Mexican fusion restaurants already! I really do think that people will come for real, good Mexican food. Be proud of your food and culture, be authentic, and people will come! Ottawa is an open-minded, multicultural city - you don't have to try to blend in.
I will say that the service has improved hugely from my last visit. The servers were kind, attentive, and friendly. Great job :)
If the menu does change back to the original, I would love to give Margarita's another chance and...
Read moreWent back to Margaritas Latin Fusion recently and the new menu is a total hit. The Spicy Mango Margarita is incredible—just the right balance of sweetness and spice. Easily one of my new favorites.
The food was just as impressive. The pulled pork empanadas were perfectly crispy and full of flavor, and the steak bowl was hearty, fresh, and really well put together. I also tried the tuna tostadas—think tuna tartare with a Latin twist. Super fresh, light, and flavorful without being spicy. The seasoning and textures were spot on.
Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, and some great new additions to both the food and drink menus. Definitely recommend...
