This place sells donuts. They're fine & look great. I'm not a donut connoisseur so I don't know if other places are better or not. The prices seem reasonable. The atmosphere is cute & very clean.
The service was disappointing. I come from a era of greeting customers when they walk in or atleast acknowledging them while they're walking around the showcase. Given that this retail space is so small it should be easy to do. There was one person working and there was a couple before me as far as cutomers. I wasn't acknowledged for 7 minutes or so. It was too long. The employee was making a cafe drink and kept her back turned to the rest of the store until she had made the two coffees & served them at a table. There were times she wasn't doing anything but waiting for something and still kept her back turned. I felt the customer could have been acknowledged at some point with a simple "hello" or even a "I will be with you in a few minutes" ... I still got several items to try but I miss traditional...
Read moreI dropped by on a Monday in October 2022 around noon. They had many different beautiful gourmet flavours, which all looked very high-end. I bought four. The lemon ricotta was my favourite. I removed one star from my rating for two reasons: First, at a bit over 4 dollars each, these donuts are definitely expensive. (Note they are about the same size as a Tim Hortons donut - they are not huge like Suzy Q’s.) Second, they are actually a bit dry if you eat them right out of the box. You have to take them home and microwave them, which makes them perfect. These are not the fluffy kind of donut that you can buy at Suzy Q or even at Tim Hortons. They are the caky, old-fashioned kind that our grandmothers used to make. When I served the apple caramel one, after microwaving it for 12 seconds, to my husband, he actually said it was the best donut he ever had in his life! So, yes, I think we...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying out the doughnuts here today. They had a fundraiser for a little boy Nash who is fighting cancer so I thought I would donate and try out the doughnuts. I was very disappointed to take my first bite and taste a very strong oily taste in the Boston cream one. The doughnut was nice and moist but I could taste the oil which wasn't pleasing. The apple fritter one was pretty good but I don't feel it warrants being over $5.00. They were pretty good but not worth the very high price. The employee who was working was absolutely wonderful and very friendly and the store was very clean and looked very nice. I'm not sure if maybe I just got some overly oily doughnuts today or if that's supposed to be part of their uniqueness but I prefer not...
