Here are some stories of my time with this location. It's just like any other McDonald's (except no drive through or milkshake machine), but here's what makes this one special:
Consistency is so-so. Maybe 70% of the time everything is good, 25% something is overcooked/undercooked/a bit off, and 5% they get something wrong, but these things happen and I've never had a problem replacing them. One time I ordered a burger and they forgot the burger patty. I still think about that from time to time.
One time my wallet was stolen from here and I found it with all my money + bank cards stolen but most of my government ID still intact. Very polite of the thief to save me a trip to the MTO. A friend of mine was also mugged for his backpack/laptop/school stuff in the alley outside of here, so just be cautious at night. We actually colloquially refer to this specific location as "StabDon's" for this reason.
All this is fine because a few years back some friends of mine invented a terrible item called the "McBongle." People ordered it so much in such a short time that the employees all just learned how to make a McBongle. That's what I call giving it 110%, shoutout to everyone working at the McDonald's on Meadowlands in September 2019.
One time we bought a medium fries from here, put it in the payload bay of a student sounding rocket, drove it down to the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico a month later, launched it to 30,000 ft in the air, collected it from the desert (where a colony of fire ants had begun to chow down), forgot about it for 3 months, and finally threw out the moldy fries. They were still kind of in tact. An incredible experience for those fries, I'm sure.
A friend of mine discovered there was no limit to the quantity of free peanut packets you could order, so he tried ordering a few hundred. Understandably, they only served him 3, and everyone had a good laugh about it. He then put the peanuts, some french fries and an apple pie onto his McDouble and invented a new burger, a curse upon nature, the name of which can never be uttered in...
Read moreWORST customer service! I had a gift card with 25 dollars on the card. I ordered food and the total cost came to around 16$. the cashier then told me to swipe my gift card. I swiped my gift card around 5 times. he later on told me I had a balance of 0.00 dollars then said I had a remain of 8.00$ with confused me. I told him that, that was most definitely incorrect because I just bout this gift card and it had 25$ on the card and I never used it before I bout it. I was supper nice and tried to understand that he might be new. he later on asked a mother worker and she was stand offish and a little rude and said she wouldn't help him because she was not clocked in.then another women cam and I told her that I swiped my card multiple times and the other cashier must of made a mistake that he is not owning up to then she began to invalidate my feelings and say that they can't do anything and that I only have 8.00 on the card and to pay the remaining on my debit. lucky I texted my mom and she said not to pay the remaining. so we went to shoppers where we got the card and we called customer service then they confirmed that, that McDonalds charged my account twice. one charge with 16$ and the 2nd with an 8$ charge. so I was right all along. they dismissed me so Manny times when I tried explain why there must have been I mistake that my mother had to go back there with me and demand to be refunded that 16$ charge and they didn't even apologize for the mistake that they and the employee made. during this whole process all they did was roll their eyes, dismiss me, and invalidate everything I had to say. the least they could have done is apologize cuz they did in fact make the mistake and I was right. nothing less this is the last time im ordering from this McDonalds location. like they should have asked the employee that was on cash if he did any mistake or took matters into there hands to figure out...
Read moreEdit for sept 10th, Edit: Yup I'm done with this location, my comfort level has officially been pushed. I have issues if someone randomly goes through my food. The worker called out someone's number and then dips out after second yell. Customer comes up and starts going through my order thinking it's theirs, reaching over the desk. The worker turns around to hand them their proper order and proceeds to try and hand me my bag that this person has put there hands in my food. I almost have a panic attack but ask the worker to remake my food. (I absolutely hate confrontation and have mild sanitary problems) First said no saying the guy only touched the label and disnt go in but i was the one watching the whole time, he walked away. He begrudgingly threw my order to the side and angrily yelled at the workers in the back to make a new one. I won't be coming back, honestly yall always forget stuff in my order still and make weird faces when I come to correct so I can leave happy. Is it cause I'm black? Idk I always feel put off with yall. (OLD REVIEW: The supervisor today really needs to check her attitude( whoever the woman serving the food was). You guys always mess up my order but I never put up a stink. Always charging me for stuff I don't get or giving me the wrong item in the package of what I want. All I did was come back cause the cashier didn't add that I wanted mayo packets. Simple right? But then the cashier said she had to charge me so I asked her when did they start charging for mayo packets respectfully. Your supervisor (she was a short white woman) claps back at me angerly because I asked a question for a mistake I didn't do. Today was just the cherry on top for how that supervisor behaves. I just wanted my food) THIS...
