A store with some extremely dedicated employees being held down by the least qualified in the entire franchise.
I've lived near and have frequented this location for two decades and have realized after my most recent disappointment that it is now worth going 4 times the distance to the bells corners location just to avoid this one.
In the past few years everyone has watched this location go steeply downhill and I realized today that it has to have been well over 40 orders in a row that have been wrong or below standard.
I've had countless issues that can range from missing toppings, having toppings put in after being asked to be left out, having the wrong drink, below minimal amounts of fries/beverages in containers, cleanliness issues and by far the most common is missing entire items.
I always have to check to make sure I have exactly what I order because it's more likely to get an item missing than it is to get what you paid for. Some issues are forgivable, having worked in the food industry myself I can understand mistakes happen, and it's no big deal. But issues here happen frequently enough that every customers is aware of it.
Most recently my biggest issues included spending 40 minutes and several attempts to get two mcmuffins with no cheese. Not extra, not double extra and not no egg/sausage. Just no cheese, took a manager and multiple employees almost 40 minutes to resolve, at that point I didnt care about the sandwiches I just wanted to see how long it would take.
The second most recent issue is just disgusting and concerning, for separating food is a must in this industry so finding a uncooked french fry inside a chicken burger means there is some unbelievable negligence to cleanliness.
Some employees who I see regularly there are fantastic and I can count on getting everything correct, however they are far outnumbered by...
Read moreMcDonald's Canada, unfortunately, left much to be desired during my recent visit. The overall quality of the food was disappointing, with a predominant issue being excessive saltiness in many items. The sauce and bread were particularly unappetizing, lacking any distinctive flavor or appeal. Regrettably, I couldn't find any real value in the meal, as it failed to leave a positive impression.
The service at McDonald's Canada was subpar, at best. Long queues and inefficient staff made the ordering process tedious and time-consuming. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restaurant was unsatisfactory, with tables and floors appearing neglected and in need of attention.
It is evident that McDonald's Canada needs to make significant improvements in several areas. Firstly, they must focus on enhancing the quality of their food. Reducing the excessive use of salt and ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and appealing would be a step in the right direction. Secondly, addressing the poor service and streamlining the ordering process would greatly improve the overall dining experience.
Customer satisfaction should be their utmost priority, and this requires a more attentive approach to customer needs and complaints. By actively seeking feedback and implementing necessary changes, McDonald's Canada can create a more welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons.
While it seems that McDonald's Canada might cater more to extremely hungry young kids who are willing to overlook the restaurant's shortcomings in pursuit of a quick meal, it is essential that they broaden their appeal to a wider demographic. Ultimately, by addressing these issues, McDonald's Canada has the potential to regain its reputation as a go-to fast-food option for customers seeking quality, value, and a satisfying...
Read moreI come to Kanata weekly but I haven’t visited this establishment in some time. I stopped in to pick up a coffee and a large French fry. I ordered through the kiosk and waited. I found them quick to fulfill my order and was pleased to step up when my number was called. Sadly it all went sour from there. The staff member who called my number purposely chose to ignore me after I continued to stay at the counter. She was very aware that I was seeking something else but she kept busy with other things and refused to return. Finally she had to come back, as she had another order to hand out at which time she still ignored me. I finally had to just start talking, requesting ketchup and vinegar for my fries. She made it very clear to me how disgusted she was with me, I’m assuming for wanting her to do her job and she wasn’t about to not let me know how she felt. I returned to the store after eating my order in my vehicle to get her name but she had no name tag on. The garbage can by my vehicle definitely needed changed or cleaned as the foul odour was very nauseous and noticeable. I did visit the ladies washroom to wash my hands upon my second visit only to find it not clean nor tidy, which I found confusing being that there was a young gentleman on the floor with cleaning supplies. I understand how busy this place appears to be so I can see how certain things may take longer to get done, like cleaning a bathroom or garbage can but to have an employee treat you with such contempt and be so ignorant just seems so inexcusable. I’m certain that I won’t be the last nor am I probably the first person to have been treated this way by this employee. I can only hope that if enough people take the time to speak up, she’ll get retrained or released from this job she clearly isn’t taking...
