March 2023 A lovely place to go to which is in an old quaint home very close to Watson's Mill. Friendly staff, and good food. A daily lunch special, and breakfast is served all day on the weekends. Large scones, and muffins. Delicious homemade pies are a nice treat. Don't forget to try their signature (mile high) lemon meringue pie. You won't be disappointed! This pie needs to be ordered in advance for takeout. Tea is served in bone china teacups and tastes so much better this way than in a mug. Interesting pieces of antique furniture to view, and various things to peruse in the rooms of this house. Run mainly by volunteers who take pride in being a part of this gem in Manotick. So many special details made for today: the staff were wearing green, the menu board was written in green for the specials of the day, the rooms were decorated, and our soup was served in green bowls. There is an upcoming special on April 6, 2023 for Easter. Try it, and you may like it as much as my family did and...

It's hard to beat that on a...
