On Saturday, August 16, 2025, I was trying to order Pizza Hut through their app, trying to get the special of buy one pizza and pay $1 for the second one. There's a couple of choices I wanted that were not available, then when it came time to pay, I tried 3 different cards, nothing worked.
I called the pizza hut location, and I ordered over the phone, and gratefully they took my order, I paid at the door when they delivered. I'm grateful that I also got the choices I wanted, and they could have given me the same special, however, due to problem ordering on the app, they helped me get a different promotion.
Once the order was placed, apparently I had called the wrong store. John fromthe store then called me and left a message, cancelling my order, but I had my phone on silent so I missed the call. When I called them back, they had called the proper location, put in the order, put in the special, and got everything all setup, so they corrected the problem even about me calling the wrong location.
Truly that means it was great service, when I got the pizzas, they were exactly what I ordered, hot and fresh, and great leftovers. I'm truly grateful for the person that took my call. When I first called, he also asked me if I tried to order online on the website, and I said no, because I was frustrated with the app, I just wanted to call and order if that was ok, and he helped me every step of the way.
I'm truly grateful for John, for the great service he offered and for the great delivery of the pizzas. I always love Pizza Hut for the stuffed crust pizza, they have been great comfort food for me, and always delicious. The boneless wings are incredible, as are the Cinnabon cinnamon buns. (I didn't feel like the extras this time, but got them in the past, and they are amazing.
Technology may not always be perfect, but people like John make life better for helping out in so many ways, from taking the order, compensating for the app, correcting the situation, correcting the store, and all with a smile on the phone. Thank you so much for such...
Read moreSo, I don't like one-starring things in general. I also don't like one-starring over an occasional mistake. But, I gotta say, this place keeps letting me down.
It's pretty expensive compared to some other places for what you get, but Pizza Hut's exact brand of Unhealthy isn't exactly available anywhere else. That's not the problem. The problem is that they keep screwing up, and you can't fix it. At all. Ever.
So, let's say you order from a pizza place, and they forget something from your order. You call them up, tell them they forgot something, then they send someone back out to deliver it to you. Usually that's about all. Sometimes there's a complication when they really don't wanna send anyone out or make more food, but you're always able to call them. Even ordering from someplace online, you can call the local store and...ah.
Yeah, that's the problem. This store has no local number. Or, well, they do have one, but it's not listed on the website and calling it takes you directly to the central ordering call centre. You have absolutely no way to contact them.
So, one time someone forgets something, you have to go to customer service to get things fixed. That's annoying. The next time it happens, and most places won't have this happen that often, you notice something's missing, they take an hour to bring it back, and by the time you've remembered they're missing something ELSE, the person who brought you that other stuff is long gone and you have no way of getting it back.
That's just...stupidly awful. How is this allowed? I can't think of a single other chain of any kind which would just...not have a local phone number. And from what I can tell, they deliberately set it up that way. Presumably, too many people called to complain, but this is just...ugh.
In case you needed to be told: avoid. Unless you're really craving Pizza Hut for some god-awful reason, and you have no way of going to or ordering from any other Ottawa location. Bad...
Read moreAbsolute worst service I've ever had at this restaurant. Never have had great service at this location, however normally at the very least acceptable. Forgot to bring out salad had to ask for it. Couldn't be bothered to ask if we needed more drinks, had to take our empty cups to the kitchen ourselves, food quality was very low as well. Not mention plates and cutlery on the table were dirty and that's unacceptable given health laws nawadays. Then when it came time to pay, couldn't bring us a bill, had to go up to the counter, and the server used a cellphone to calculate our bill. Took over 30mins to pay our tables bill. Ordered a "Favourite Meal," and then was asked to pay for each item individually. When I mentioned that it was a meal and the price was almost double what it should be, I was greeted with a barely understandable explanation of my order. Had to grab a menu and show the server what the combo meal was instead of individual items. Once this was finally settled, the server then presented us with a seperate bill for our drinks, which we had to pay seperately (apparently)...
