Pizza Pizza — Restaurant in Ottawa

I ordered a pizza for delivery and the driver came over the 40 minute time guarantee, so I asked for the pizza for free. He starts making a huge hassle out of me asking, arguing and refuses to give me the pizza. I asked the driver to call me when hr got there, as it is in an office building in a plaza and the building is a bit hard to find. I was guaranteed the pizza free at 5:59, which was written on the receipt and it was 6:01 when he called. He claimed he had been there since 5:55 and had walked into another building but no one was there when he went in. I told him that's not really my problem because the driving instructions were to call when he arrived, which were also written on the receipt. Had he called when he gotten there, there wouldn't have been an issue and i wouldn't have asked for it for free.

He became argumentative and aggressive, so I called there customer service line, and he also called the manager (or customer service as well?). They told me the pizza would be free, and I heard his manager tell him to give me the pizza for free as well. After we were both off the phones, instead of giving me the pizza and leaving he begins to try to guilt trip me into paying and telling me $20 isn't even alot and going on and on. I'm sorry we're not all privileged enough to believe $20 is nothing.

Anyway, he finally gives me my pizza and as i'm going up the stairs he goes "wow so you're not even going to tip me??" I was actually planning to even though the pizza was free, hence why I brought my wallet with me downstairs, but he was so rude and aggressive that I decided not to, especially after saying $20 was nothing. If $20 is nothing, then the $10 I was going to give you is pretty much nothing as well. Definitely won't be ordering delivery from this location again if all their drivers act like this and don't honour their own company policies. He was disgustingly rude, especially chasing after me for a tip after arguing and trying to talk down to me for 10 minutes. Even if I ended up paying for the pizza, he would not be getting a tip from me after his actions.

The pizza itself was surprisingly good. Much better than all the other pizza pizza locations I've ordered from. Very well made. It's too bad their quality is brought down by...

Just had the most disturbing incident at the MERIVALE MALL PIZZA PIZZA. I ordered for delivery because of covid obviously and the driver showed up with a debit machine that wouldn't connect. He asked me multiple times to try another card or pay cash which I didnt have... obviously .. the driver then tries to ask one of us to get in his car with him and drive to a corner store to withdraw money.. we told him absolutely not and we would meet him at the store to pick up the order

So I hop in my car and begin to drive. When I'm almost at pizza pizza a customer service lady called me and told me the driver made a mistake and the machine was now working. I told her I was almost at the store and she put me on a brief hold. After 3 mins she came back and said she had replaced the order at the merivale store and to go in to get the order for FREE because of the ridiculous runaround.

So I wait and go into the store after 15 minutes to collect my order .. the owner of the store rang it in and told me the total. I kindly explained the lady told me it would be free...then the delivery driver emerges from the back room and immediately starts yelling that I am lying and that the machine was working the whole time why did I go and pick the order up??? All 3 of the worker then began screaming at me from behind the counter and spinning the story trying to make me look and think I was crazy? And showed up at the store for no reason ?

I then explained how the driver tried to ask me into the car and they all began yelling at me and belittling me in front of customers... I have NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN BERATED IN SUCH A WAY. the customer in the store left with me

please do NOT support this disgusting location. I am appalled at the owner the driver and the worker... I will never step foot in that...

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered a garden veggie pizza with black olives. Typically when I buy he individual size of garden veggie, it is on white crust. I th us assumed the whole pizza would be the same. Turns out I was wrong. I ordered online and it automatically put my crust as whole wheat. I didn't notice until I was about to pay and asked if I could have this changed to white crust as I don't like the taste of whole wheat pizza. The two guys behind the register said that the only way the could do it is to call the company who does the online orders then get charged $5 for the pizza. They complained and complained that this would be such a massive hassle and a waste of effort. When I said I wanted them to make the call and change my pizza because I wouldn't eat the one they gave me, they pushed back by complaining and saying that they wouldn't do it. It was utterly rude and they didn't care about customer satisfaction, they just wanted me out the door. The whole time that they were complaining, they could have easily made the 1 phone call and got the new pizza in the oven. I ended up paying for my pizza and not eating it just so I wouldn't have to listen to their laziness and lack of care. Such a shame that there was poor customer service here. Never returning and will being telling all family and friends not to go. Such a waste of money,...
