Another visit: Big booths with lots of table space. A varied menu so you'll find something to suit your taste. I enjoyed delicious large wings with a spicy rub and hot fries. Added a spicy dip and was exactly the "fire" I was looking for. He had a burger and fries and was not disappointed. No room for dessert but did look enticing. Many t.v.s if you want to follow a sport. A clean bustling place, friendly service and plenty of free parking. There was an outdoor patio but it was a little chilly that day.
First visit: My daughter and I had dinner here on a chilly Saturday evening. We were seated right away in a semi booth as requested but by the end of our meal, the place was full of people. We couldn't each decide on a dish for ourselves - toss up between Chicken Cordon Bleu ($20.99) and a one piece Fish and Chips ($18.99) so we ordered both and shared. The size of the fish piece was large and she had substituted the regular fries for garlic parmesan chips. The fish was well prepared with just enough crispy batter. The tartar sauce was more like mayonnaise with a bit of tang. The coleslaw was creamy and not too much vinegar taste. The chicken was rubbery and not tender. The delicious gravy helped with the taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy. The vegetables of zucchini (a lot of zucchini), yellow peppers and one piece of asparagus were not overcooked. Overall the servicing size was plentiful. We had a Coke and lemonade to drink but they also have an extensive drink list in you're in the mood for alcohol based. Service was excellent. Lots of free parking available. Several televisions are placed around the restaurant so even if you turn your head, you won't miss any of the...
Read moreFirst time at the new Shoeless Joe's in Orleans! The place was quite busy, you can still tell it's a new place, staff looks fresh and looking like they didn't always know what to do. The manager/owner (?) was present and helping out staff and was very supportive. I'll start by saying ALL he food we ordered was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! Ordered the traditional chicken wings, chipotle BBQ flavored, to start, they came out promptly, flavor + texture 10/10, however the server needed to be asked for everything; napkins, utensils, plates. They came out, without the dipping sauce (dill/garlic) on the plate - told the server, and he went got one! A little disappointed on the amount of sauce they provide though, the container wasn't even half full, about 1/4 inch of sauce in the container - and then I asked for mayo for the fries, and the same little amount came out, 1/4 of the container was full. For main meal, chicken cordon bleu and the maple peppercorn bacon and cheddar burger. The meals took a little longer to come out, about 20 ish-22 minutes - though the server swung by our table at one point and apologized and advised our meals were coming out soon. Their in-house made maple peppercorn bacon, was just something else, 12/10! The side salad of field greens was perfect, with choice of 3 different dressings - I went with Zesty Italian - great choice! The burger was juicy and had fresh toppings. The chicken cordon bleu was one of the best I've ever had, with some silky smooth mashed, served with some cooked up veggies, 10/10. Ambiance was nice, beautiful big screen tv's, and not-too-loud music playing in the background. Recommend, and will be going back, overall, I give it...
Read moreWell, first-time patron, last-time patron.
I will get the highlights out of the way and then dive into the dirty details.
The service. The service was adequate. Nothing over the top. The waitress was efficient and got the job done. She seemed to have left her smile at home, though. I gotta say that service with a smile makes a huge difference.
The atmosphere was a typical sports pub. Loud, dimly lit, but this place was very clean and well kept.
The food... we were all disappointed.
Let's start with the Redonkulus burger. The menu literally said they dared you to finish it. Apparently, this crumb is a big burger by their standards. I would hate to see a regular burger.
This mini beast had 2 patties, about 2.5 to 3 ounces each. So it was a 1/4 pounder. It was topped with pulled pork... but in reality, some diced pork from the grill, I guess? Certainly not pulled. The burger tasted pretty good, but after a few bites, it was dripping wet because they either put soaked lettuce on it of the burger sauce was overly watery.
The side - the only side - was fries. They taste pretty good, but they were not crispy. And seriously... where was the coleslaw or side of veggies with the meal?
The triple cheese ravioli was really good. The portion was a bit small for the price, but it was tasty.
The shimp flat bread... wow... incredibly bad. It was basically a flat bread covered with cheese and one shrimp per slice. $22 bucks for 8 shrimp, a piece of bread, and some cheese. This was more disappointing than the burger.
In our opinion, don't bother taking the trip. We would have been happier with fast food.
Look at that slider posing...
