Shorty's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Ottawa

(Update at bottom) I stopped by Shorty's for a late lunch. Shorty's has a variety of buns to choose from for your sandwich. I'm a fan of fresh Portuguese buns and chose that for my sandwich, but will have to go back to try their other buns, like their cheese bun.

I had the Italiano sandwich, which was quite good, though I personally feel it could have done with a bit more of a generous helping of the toppings on the sandwich. Overall though, it was good and I plan on returning to try more of the options, like their daily specials that they have. For the price, I would definitely recommend Shorty's if you work nearby or are hungry and in the area.

Update: I finally managed to make my way back to Shorty's. I had the special for the day and a poutine,which were both delicious. I will definitely be back to try more sandwiches and food. The only criticism I still have is that the sandwiches could do with a heavier amount...

I was recommended this place by someone who works there, I thought it was just someone praising their work place for the sake of praising until I went to see what the hype was all about, and let me tell y’all I was not disappointed. Just as you entre the place your mouth starts to salivate from the amazing smell of the food 🤤, I ordered a holy molly sandwich with extra smoked me and a poutine and cheese curds. It’s was AMAZING! The staff are always friendly and always welcoming. Great service, great people. Sandwiches are always tasty, made to order just how you want them and they have a wide variety of ingredients. Cost is great, daily specials make it even better. There are sometimes extra special sandwiches that aren't on the normal daily rotation or menu that are always a delicious change when you want something new. Atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, with a great sound system playing music while you eat. All in all I can't recommend this place enough, swing by if you're in the area and see...
