Subway — Restaurant in Ottawa

Trickery and deception abound here ! I ordered a Signature Rice Bowl: Southwest Steak & Avocado. I figured it can be an option to rotate with my weekly Chipotle rice bowls, which are excellent. This rice bowl is supposed to contain: Steak, smashed avocado, and southwest sauce. Oh each ingredient was there all right but in wildly differing and inadequate portions. Steak (about 10%). smashed avocado (about 15%); rice (about 15%). What I got was 60% white lettuce. I had to pick away at the lettuce to find the rice and steak. It should be called LETTUCE BOWL NOT RICE BOWL. Never again. I knew from many years ago that Subway is not a first rate food chain, but went there as a breakfast treat for my son when he was in grade school as he liked it and it was the only resto nearby (I lived at a different location, in Hull). I have been to this location several times since those years in Hull. I was never impressed other than with the chicken noodle soup. But this weekend when my husband went for takeout, I had hoped that it had improved its food offering quality, with all the interesting sounding new-for me- menu options. But no. Same...

I have been going to this Subway for 8 years now and I have never had a problem with the service until today, I had brought a coupon for "2 can dine for $13.99" on this coupon it said 2 cold cut combos OR a ham sub. My girlfriend and I both got Turkey subs, (which last I checked are cold cuts), and the man at the counter took my coupon and charged me $17.00... Ok that's great and all but then when I asked for our cookies and drinks, (which are part of the combo) he tried to charge me and additional $5.36. Then when I tried to correct him because I figured there was a mistake he proceeded to be rude with me and say that there is no combo, even though the coupon says, "cold cut COMBO" on it. My girlfriend tried to argue this point as well but I figured this wasn't going anywhere and other people wanted their food as well, so I ended up paying the $5.36 and left. Very poor customer service and I think management needs to reevaluate their hiring and staffing standards.

Side note this man wasn't wearing a beard cover at all and my girlfriend did find a hair in her sub. Very unprofessional and highly disappointing especially coming...

If you want to order submarine Sandwiches this is the place to do it. They sell vast quantities of sandwiches everyday year I'm talking like 500 sandwiches. They will ask you what you want on your sandwich and make it just the way you want it just like at most other Subway locations.

There is usually two or three people that work here making the sandwiches they tend to stand behind the counter and you pay them after they've gotten the sandwich then you go pick a drink.

They sell coffee here and soups sometimes they also have cookies and little pastries.

They have a washroom here and it's usually not too busy in this location.

The fountain drink machine they have is pretty cool they have a big fountain drink too.

Some of the staff sell cigarettes and does Pop a wheelies in the parking lot with their hot rods and tricked out...
