Dear Tim Hortons Team,
I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning Islamophobic incident that took place at your branch located at 655 Bronson Ave, Ottawa, Ontario, K1S 4E7. The incident occurred on August 30, 2025, at approximately 11:15 AM, while I was present with my friends.
During this time, a South Asian male employee at the counter began shouting at a Muslim colleague after she accidentally spilled something. Even though she calmly explained that she would clean it up, he aggressively pointed at her and screamed, “Do it now! Do it now!” in a highly abusive and disrespectful manner.
When the employee attempted to defend herself, he escalated further by shouting at her to “shut up” in front of at least eight customers who were waiting in line. His behavior was loud, hostile, and humiliating, creating a very uncomfortable environment for both customers and staff.
This type of verbal abuse and Islamophobic targeting is unacceptable and reflects extremely poorly on Tim Hortons. It is unprofessional, discriminatory, and damaging to the reputation of your brand.
I strongly urge you to take immediate disciplinary action to address this incident and ensure such behavior does not happen again. If no action is taken, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to the Ottawa Police Service – Hate and...
Read moreI've always liked Tim Hortons because of the patriotic feel, and their coffee. I really like their coffee, and donuts. I never really payed attention to anything else. Right accross the street from this Tim Hortons is a Mcdonald's (which isn't bad either), and I'd usually go to the McDonalds because I thought it was faster. I forget why I ended up going to this Tim's one day but, ever since I went the first time I couldn't stop coming back. The customer service is unbelievable.
I've never been to a Tim Hortons or basically any store for that matter which says, "Welcome to __" along with a genuine smile. I thought it was a fluke but, every single staff member seems to be genuinely positive, and happy to serve you. I never realized how much I cared about that sort of thing, but I keep going back to that Timmies because I not only like the food, but I really appreciate the way everyone is treated there.
This is a smaller Tim Horton's so sometimes the wait could be a tad bit longer than usual (I've never really had this problem myself TBH). But, I could see it happening.
Anyhow, it's worth the wait especially if you want to leave with a smile on your face. I've just never seen so many people that seem genuinely happy to give...
Read moreThere is one single worker. It is a busy saturday. This man is deeply struggling. First, we try to order a bacon grilled cheese melt (because it was on the menu), the employee says no… no explanation. Then we asked for one bagel — he gave and charged us for two. Then he says he cannot give us a refund without a manager. Where is the manager? Then, the person behind us, orders the same bagel he made us an extra of. He says, we can give our bagel to them. We agree, but he charges her for it. And he begins making yet another bagel. Then he gives us cash out of the till… despite saying he cannot ??? He forgot to make the iced capp we ordered…? He seemed very confused. Also… after going through all of that we return home to enjoy our three bagels (of which we only wanted two) and what do we find?? The bagels are rock solid. Extremely dense and only a little wipe of cream cheese is on top. This should have been a short visit… I think we were there for thirty minutes… maybe longer. Multiple people in the line behind us left. Needless to say… this was a very confusing interaction. I don’t know whether to be upset or just concerned. Will not be returning … I’m requesting a wellness check of...
